I forgot it was coming on. Just wondering if folks thought it might be worth checking out when it's on demand.

No, the commercials didn't interest me. I'm getting a little burned out by these crime dramas about drug dealers. They're all merging together to me.

Yes. It wasn't bad and I'm kind of intrigued to see how they will tie the various characters into a connected story. Hard to say from the pilot of it will be worth watching but I'll give it a few episodes.

They are coming off as unoriginal. We need more shows like Fargo and Mr. Robot rather than stuff like Snowfall, which would have been an acclaimed movie in the 80s or 90s.

I had a question regarding CIA guy. What's your question? So probably missed the part where it's explained, but did the drug dealer kill all those girls? hence why he found an earring?.

So probably missed the part where it's explained, but did the drug dealer kill all those girls? hence why he found an earring?. You didn't miss anything. The drug dealer lied and said no one was there. It definitely looks like the dealer killed the girls since they were about to call the cops last time we saw them but it hasn't been confirmed yet. Who would think getting coke blown through a straw into your ass would make you OD like that? Who would want a booty bump in the first place?

By the way i warmed up fast to the corrupt CIA man, and every character is intriguing as well.

He claims he's just a soldier but he sure seemed to like the drug dealer lifestyle. I liked the pilot more than I thought I would. I'm wondering how the masked luchador will tie in or for that matter how these seemingly unrelated storylines will merge.

No was referring to the cia man himself, he really interests me so far as you can already start to see his biggest flaws as wwell.

He is also already dipping into the drug dealer lifestyle. Literally. That pool was nice.

Usually an FX show has a degree of pulp or an idiosyncrasy as well, this feels like it could be made for a number of stations.

I thought it captured the 80's pretty well or at least the 80's we've seen from 80's movies. John Singleton has a great feel for gritty hood life drama.
