Not my cup of tea, but Ernest Borgnine, Donald Pleasance and Lee Van Cleef in the same movie is always interesting. 7/10

8/10 - Nobody turns low budget films into cult classics better than John Carpenter.

10/10, a favorite since I saw it in a theater back when it came out. Escape from New York (1981) I totally agree here maxwellperfect and also gave this favorite JC now classic a vote of 10 as well . Unfortunately I never had the chance to see this one on the big screen . Although I'm hoping that my local Drive-In next year will show this film back to back with it's awesome sequel ( IMPO ) - Escape from L.A. (1996) . I also have both of these movies on DVD . Thanks so much maxwellperfect for your subject post .

I think this was the first Carpenter film I found a little disappointing compared to The Thing, Halloween and Assault on Precinct 13. 7/10
