Rank the Spider-Man films. This was murder for me as I hate ranking things. There really is no such thing as a completly bad Spider-Man movie, some are just better than others. That said, here's my take. 1. Spider-Man: Homecoming 2. Spider-Man 2 3. Spider-Man 4. The Amazing Spider-Man 5. Spider-Man 3 6. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 7. Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark And I am aware that #7 is not a movie.

As a whole, this was a better film, with better characters and a more believable setting. Spiderman 2 did have more action and was a little bit more silly and that might be more enjoyable in some cases.
I'll have to see it again to really wrap my head around it.

1. Amazing Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man: Homecoming 3. Amazing Spider-Man 2 4. The Raimi trilogy. Surprised to see that you didn't like the Raimi trilogy. My problem with those films was the casting for Parker and MJ. Maguire and Dunst were just all wrong. That, and Raimi let the schmaltz level get out of control. Anytime they'd have a touching scene, I would literally feel myself dying of diabetes.

That and Raimi bullied us by pointing the camera mere inches from Maguire's face so much. He has what we call a non closeup friendly face. The role of Peter would have been perfect for Jake Gyllenhaal, like you and moviefreak said in another thread.

Alas, they had no competition, so there was nothing to make the Raimi films try harder to achieve greatness. Note: not at PeterJasonQuill, but to all the people who have been accusing me of hating the Raimi Spider-Man films because of the MCU: I NEVER LIKED THE RAIMI SPIDER-MAN FILMS! EVER!

There really is no such thing as a completly bad Spider-Man movie, some are just better than others. that's mighty generous. mine: Homecoming Spider-Man 2 Spider-Man Spider-Man 3 ASM ASM 2 it's pretty close between the new one and Raimi's second, but the new one wins out with a stronger villain, comic-accurate Spidey, and overall more focused narrative. they both have their strengths. like, Simmons' JJJ singlehandedly tops Homecoming's entire supporting cast. the 2002 film trails behind, with the other three at varying levels of unwatchable.
