His next tactic if he gets away with these posts will be to create/use sock accounts to spam this board with threads and posts about pedophilia and have disgusting discussions about it. This went on on the old board for months (evidence available upon request). I'm sure I speak for most RFS posters when I say we wouldn't want a repeat performance on this board. Carmb (Apollo) advocated for sex with 12 year old kids. Also he never had socks. Yes, he had 2 profiles but never tried to hide the fact and everyone knew it. I agree that he trolled and still trolls. In any case he has never advocated such things on this site. |

Presumably on this logic, an adult sex doll, which cannot give consent, is then equally a "rape doll", and all as such should be banned for encouraging objectification, and rape etc.
These are exactly the sort of arguments which have been tried in the condemnation of violent or pornographic films and games for adults and been found wanting down the years.
Don't you think it possible that someone that has sex with a child-like sex robot might find it unfulfilling and then decide to switch to the real thing? Don't you think it is possible that denied a release that harms no one a paedophile might start thinking about a real child?
Without evidence linking the two, one cannot say whether it is wrong or right. That is the point. One remembers that people have voiced concerns in various moral panics down the years. Remember the asserted association between rock n roll and delinquency among the young? The argument that contraception causes sexual immorality? Vaping leads to more smokers? Why can't it be "by definition"? Because children are incapable of giving consent. You first said "minors", though. And "minor" is simply defined as someone below the age of consent, which varies greatly from one country to the next. In many US states it is 18, but 15 in plenty of Western countries. It was 12 in Spain until 1999, when it was raised to 13. And it stayed 13 until 2015 or 2016, when it was raised further to 16. Age of consent is arbitrary, and set at the discretion of each individual nation. It is important to distinguish between rape and statutory rape - the latter which applies to consensual sex with minors, but "rape" is a word which implies forced sex with someone who is downright unwilling - which is not the case simply because the person was not yet 15 - or 16, or 17, or 18, or 21, or whatever. In other languages, "rape" is not used. In Norwegian, for example, the word for "rape" is "voldtekt", which means "taken by force", and the term for "statutory rape" is "[seksuell] omgang med mindreårig" - or simply "sexual relations with a minor". This makes a much more useful distinction, and does not seek to victimize the minor. If you look at it from the perspective of a 15-year old who willingly slept with a 16-year old who is now on charges for that relation (assuming the age of consent is 16), it isn't going to help to be branded a RAPE victim. |

There may well be a correlation between porn use and violent tendencies, but only because both are tied to testosterone. So even if there is a correlation, it's not as if porn makes people more violent. Rather, violent tendencies as well as the urge to watch porn are both symptomatic of high testosterone levels. Just like fever and coughing are both symptoms you might experience if you have a flu - saying porn makes people violent is just as dumb as saying it's the coughing that causes the fever when you have a flu. |
