Agreed, it gives the audience a window into Peter's mind. It's vital in a movie where you can't see the hero's face most of the time. There's something to be said for the more organic version of the character without the tech, but if we had to sacrifice that aspect to get a more compelling hero, so be it. It isn't perfect but I prefer it to Peter fighting with his mask off half the time. They've already told us he'll be teaming up with other Marvel heroes from here on out, so maybe they'll ditch the AI and have him interact more with the people around him.
Either way, Peter's personality is part of what makes the character fun, so team him up with Wilson the volleyball for all I care. Just give him a way to express his personality and I'm happy.

Yes, the other iterations didn't gave us a way to him talking to himself. Earing his thoughts would be weird i think, this is logical, intimate and very entertaining. Now when he needs to pick up milk on his way home he can just say it to KAREN.

Also, he can't carry around a computer or even a cell phone in his suit. But in 2017 it would be pretty lame if Spider-Man didn't have access to information that everyone with a smart phone has at their finger tips.

Actually he has a cell phone, ned calls him several times. Yes, I worded that poorly. I meant that it is ridiculously inconvenient for him to carry, answer, and operate a cell phone while swinging on webs and fighting crime. Having the system built in the suit is a much more tech savvy solution. Especially for a kid that can invent a nearly miraculous web formula.

I loved that homage to the Raimi films. It was classy and comedic all at the same time. SaveSaveThe more I think about the monument scene the more I like it. In IMAX 3d was amazingly good. I know 3d got a bad rep as of lately ans it's deserved but then it comes a scene or a movie that blows my mind. This was one of those. It's a shame there are fewer and fewer. The sense of height was ubeliavable. People around me were gasping in the outside shots. That feeling of vertigo was what I was looking for in every Spiderman movie(well, not only that)and only got it in this one

I feel amazed that I can't remember a movie that had a scene that showed height to the point of feeling vertigo in 3D so well, and it's weird becaus you would think it would be something they should nail. Not even Avatar had these sense of height.

I feel amazed that I can't remember a movie that had a scene that showed height to the point of feeling vertigo in 3D so well, except maybe the walk, and it's weird because you would think it would be something they should nail. Not even Avatar had these sense of height. Fixed

The 3D was very good.
This year Guardians, Wonder Woman and Spider-man all made good use of the 3D.
BTW The Mummy.... did not.
