Those are great movies. Some kind of Wonderful was always a favorite of mine from that genre. My only gripe was that they should've beat up that Harding guy at the party. But other than that it was awesome! Sixteen candles is really funny. Pretty in pink also a classic.

Perhaps that Hardy guy did get beat up afterwards we were never shown that scene of course but we could imagine Duncan and his pals taking care of business there with this sensitive issue . I quite agree these films were so excellent too ( especially the soundtrack albums ) .

Oh that's right Hardy. I called him Harding lol. Yeah Duncan definitely wanted to give him the much deserved beatdown John Hughes movies were really great. I was a teenager at that time period so those were my kind of movies. I still like to revisit them. I think I'd like to watch Weird Science again next because that has been a really long time since I saw that.

That's OK jayhn1111 I actually didn't even notice you used the name " Harding " instead of " Hardy " I just remembered his odd name anyway - IMPO ( Hardy Jenson was his full name in that film ) . I totally agree John Hughes definitely had some real film gems back then . The 1980's did have some incredibly unforgettable films ( IMPO - the best decade for movies and music too ! ) .
