The Avengers already have a strong flying dude in a red cape. Supes is weak to magic. Thor & Loki are magic based so Loki could have taken Supes out & Thor would have no problem with the Kryptonians.

Plus, Loki would have nabbed some Kryptonite from SHIELD.

Superman is vulnerable to magic, not weak to it. Loki can't take Thor. Superman went toe-to-toe with Thor.

In other words Superman is vulnerable to magic the same that any one walking down the street is. Its not a particular advantage to have magic when fighting Superman because he can still kick your ass while you're casting spells or waving hammers.

Which means hitting Superman in the face with a magical warhammer should have the same effect as hitting a regular human with a regular warhammer... Which is he gets his face crushed.

Hitting Superman in the face with a magical warhammer will have the effect of hitting Superman in the face with a magical Warhammer. You're conveniently forgetting that Superman is still invulnerable, and both in the comics and the movies he's survived a nuclear explosion. If he can survive a nuclear explosion he can survive a magical Warhammer... because he's still invulnerable.
And lets not forget superspeed either. You still have to hit him.
Nice try though.

I know what you're gonna say: "But Batman hit him with it in BvS". That was Supermans first interaction with Kryptonite supposedly. He's unlikely to fall for the 'ol kryptonite in the thingy trick a second time.
(But I like your Atreus joke LOL)

Nope, this is wrong. That's not how Superman's weakness to magic works. Superman doesn't weaken from magical items, not in the same way that he automatically collapses from being near kryptonite. What does happen is that magical items cancel out his invulnerability. It has been specifically stated that a magical razor will cut superman in the same way a regular razor cuts a regular human. If DC was consistent in how they portrayed Superman (which they are not) a direct hit from Mjolnir to the face (especially when delivered by Thor) would smash Superman's face to pulp. Of course, DC would never allow something like that to happen though. And yes, there's always the superspeed angle which I'm not contradicting.

I almost stopped reading there because we've already established he doesn't have a "weakness" to magic, any more than anyone else as. But...
It has been specifically stated that a magical razor will cut superman in the same way a regular razor cuts a regular human.
...IF the magic razor was made to cut an invulnerable person. Spells and magical objects work in specific ways. They're not "do it all" spells. That would be the Infinity Gauntlet! So yes it could cut an ordinary person, but it wouldn't automatically account for that person being invulnerable or Kryptonian. So again, Thor's hammer would only smash his face as much as it would smash anyones face. It would still have to account for Supermans invulnerability. It doesn't UNDO his invulnerability. He's still invulnerable when he's getting hit. Only Kryptonite brings DOWN his power levels.
And I don't know where that has ever been specifically stated about the razor, but I am willing to agree with it if you show a link.
Also, there's this:
![](https://i0.wp.com/bestofcomicbooks.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Super-man-picked-up-armor.jpeg?resize=600%2C408)
And this...
![](https://qph.fs.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-a119a55365674f756b6d40f7bb128f28-c)
...Face doesn't look so smashed.
In any case, it would be an awesome fight to see in a movie, but it will never happen. Too bad. It would be awesome if MCU and DCEU did an inter-company crossover movie one day. Wouldn't that be awesome! Before I get too damned old!!!
For now this is as close as we'll get...

Actually, I wouldn’t say that, because I don’t even remember that happening in BvS. I’d say “oh, but he’ll just be in an adult Baby Bjorn being carried at super speed by Quicksilver to take the shot.” 🤷♂️ And thank you, obviously I’m a huge Atreus fan. 😉 Can’t wait for God of War 5!!!!! ![](https://steamusercontent-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/863978694978977382/3E249ADFA2BAD395106DAE27379D24E9C91DF91C/)
