For those who've watched the movie, you'll know that Peter gets quite beat up in a few fight scenes. Which is why I found it weird that he only came out with a minor scratch or two.
Now I know Spiderman has enhanced durability, but considering he got a black eye from tussling with Cap, I'd have expected a bit more injury after the beat down that he took in this movie.

Spiders don't bleed. They just have that gooey stuff that comes out when you squash them.

probably for MPAA reasons.....and the audience.
they would either get hit with an R, or you'll scare the crap out of the kids if Peter's face was bleeding profusely or if his face was swollen and purple, covered in stiches.

I was hoping for at least something similar to how Spiderman bled in Spiderman 1 after his fight with Green Goblin. Nothing too gory, but at least enough to emphasize how serious his fights were and to highlight how big a heart he has.

The black eye doesn't make that much sense either. He also has a healing factor. It's not strong like Wolverine's, but it's fast enough for him to be better by the next day.

This. The Green Goblin duel in the first Raimi movie might have dated fx and choreography, but we actually get to see some blood here.

Not trying to get into the MCU is too light argument, since I honestly don't enjoy that mindset.
But will say Raimi's spiderman was completely infused with Raimi's style, and Raimi has a way of making fights feel painful, focuses on the intensity, whether it be the final Goblin fight, or when Spiderman falls from the sky in Spiderman 2, when Peter stops the train, even when Sandman is pummeling Spiderman, I mean he went full Evil Dead in a certain Spiderman 2 scene....if anything he probably takes some joy out of abusing his lead characters/actors.
