Remember when he was a marquee name and actually gave a shit about acting and career choices?
"Hostage" aside, I don't think these films represent memorable films of Bruce's career.

Hostage is pretty good. Fire with Fire is OK. The other 4 are kinda lame.
But Willis must of just stopped giving a crap altogether.

For quite a few years now, Willis has only been phoning in his roles and collecting the paychecks. So I say, poor us.

lol that is too funny . And Willis isn't hurting for money either (his net worth is just under 200 million) , he just doesn't give a shit anymore (apparently). I think his last good to great role was in Looper .

I'd imagine those movies have a more relaxed schedule compared to the hundred million dollar films. Often I feel like actors and actresses take cushier projects when they get older or have already had their time to shine and just want nice easy jobs to pay the bills.

He could get his career back on track as soon as he stop playing himself.

I only recognize 'Hostage' from those... Sometimes I cycle through the Comcast on demand movie options and I'm blown away by how many straight to video releases are floating around out there starring major Hollywood stars. I'm with you, I've never heard of any of these flicks other than Hostage-- and I'm certain they're all terrible.

What's surprising is that Willis isn't really in some of these direct-to-DVD films much. It's like his appearance is overblown as far as marketing goes. Not to spoil anything, but in one direct-to-DVD film his character dies less than 30 minutes in and that's it for Willis.

Bruce Willis is getting second billed to Josh Duhamel now? Not as bad as being second-billed to Zack Morris from Saved By The Bell.

He could get his career back on track as soon as he stop playing himself. Unless they can find a way to force him to work for his paycheck, I don't see it happening. The man is just done with giving a shit it seems.

He should just resurrect his Bruno routine. That would be awesome.
I'm one of the few people that loved Hudson Hawk too.

I've got to give him credit for his energy.
Not in his acting, but in how many roles he takes despite bordering on elderly. You can't call him lazy.

If Willis wanted to have just one more hundred million epic action flick out of the way, he could star in a re-adaptation of Nothing Lasts Forever that sticks closer to the source than the original Die Hard. He's the right age to play Joe Leland now.

He's the right age to play Joe Leland now. I'm not sure if people are eager to see a movie with a complete downer ending where the protagonist callously shoots young women in the head. Then again, maybe. I'd go see it.

This is what happens when actors age. They aren't young and good looking enough to play a leading role anymore. It's out Willis's hands. Remember when Jeff Goldblum was a leading man, and top billed over Jim Carey? Hell not even Jim Carey is a leading man anymore. Schwarzenegger is trying, hanging in by a hair, but he has too big of an ego to accept 2nd billing.
