alfromni, BATouttaheck, @eriknight, OldAussie, jervistetch, taranofprydain, wmcclain, mcavanaugh, vegalyra, et al. Anyone interested in a new survivor game? I've recently been looking through our Hitchcock survivor game thread, and it was a lot of fun, wasn't it? I think a good topic would be the most famous pictures of the Universal horror cycle(s). So, if you're interested, without any further ado... Dracula (English-language, 1931) Drácula (Spanish-language, 1931) Frankenstein (1931) The Old Dark House ('32) The Mummy ('32) The Invisible Man ('33) The Black Cat ('34) Bride of Frankenstein ('35) Werewolf of London ('35) Dracula's Daughter ('36) Son of Frankenstein ('39) The Wolf Man ('41) The Ghost of Frankenstein ('42) Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man ('43) Phantom of the Opera ('43) Son of Dracula ('43) House of Frankenstein ('44) House of Dracula ('45) Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein ('48) REMEMBER: You're voting for the five that you like the least, with five points being your least favorite. Let the game begin!

NalkarjPerhaps a reposting of the rules / goals of the game would be useful in case anyone new to the area wanders in and would like to partake of the joys of the game. Cool image of Frankie, btw !

BATouttaheck . Yes, indeed, Bat; that's exactly what I should have done! This is what I wrote on the last game: There are a few changes we made in the last game while playing, to facilitate play. We opted for a proportional representation voting system, like this: 1. Movie V 2. W 3. X 4. Y 5. Z -- with 5 being the movie you dislike the least. I then award that movie five points. I add up all the points at the end of the round, and the two movies that have the most points are both off the list. We try to get down to one "survivor."

Nalkarj --- I've seen only about four or five of the movies listed, and those at least thrity or forty years ago, and they were movies I wouldn't watch again. So I guess I have to bow out of this one. Not really a fan of horror and monster movies.

Apologies for taking so long to respond, vegalyra, but it seems as though interest in this game is lesser than it was in the Hitchcock game. I'm putting it on hold in the hope that someone (@eriknight, telegonus?) may be interested.

Well, looking back on it--and, yes, I'm looking through old bookmarked threads right now --this survivor game went over like a load of bricks. If anyone's interested in any idea for another one, though, I'm more than game if you are.
