My ranking rather goes * Buckingham/Nicks era Fleetwood Mac * Bob Welch era/70s prior to Buckingham/Nicks Fleetwood Mac * Post Buckingham/Nicks Fleetwood Mac * 60s Fleetwood Mac then quite a ways below that: * Blondie Oh, how can you say that?! Cliché reference, perhaps; but for me it's just like BB King said of The Green God, "He has the sweetest tone I ever heard; he was the only one who gave me the cold sweats." A lot of players take Green over Clapton in the British heavyweight fight, so just transpose their names to see what I'm getting at "Eric Clapton's Fleetwood Mac."

It's not that I dislike the first era (I just clarified that with an edit to the earlier post). But compositionally and in terms of the overall craftiness of the musicianship, arrangements, etc., what they morphed into once Danny Kirwan and then especially once Bob Welch and Christine Mcvie got into the band is much more consistently interesting and resonant for me relative to the band as a fairly traditional blues rock outfit.

Strange it seems that most people posting says Fleetwood Mac. But most people are answering Blondie in the poll.
