I suffer from anxiety and on-and-off depression and having a particularly rough patch the last week. So as a means of venting I'm creating this thread where everyone is welcome to unload their burdens all over our collective face. To everyone on IMDB2 who's keepin' demons at bay 24/7, my proverbial hat is off to you. Bless.

As a matter of fact it made my anxiety worse. I hate taking any kind of psychotropic but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I guess it's working, but not quite sure how much improvement there's supposed to be.

Lol, I guess we sound like a bunch of weird people, but in all honesty I don't know a lot of people that don't take something.

This probably applies to 90% of the people on this board, (including myself)!

But from memory, it has reduced the intensity of my attacks by at least 70%

No one should feel that they are less than themselves because they believe that they have problems. This is life. It is one problem after another. We were created to be as we are. Naturally, you want to feel superior, but feel we are inferior. This is the animal kingdom. Never forget that all human beings are animals that have discovered the way to communicate and grasp (our thumbs). The Earth produced us for a reason, and none of that reason is about we humans being happy. Think about it.

I work with people who suffer from anxiety and depression, my advice...
1. Limit your exposure to news.
2. Look up 'Radical Acceptance' and 'Mindfulness' as it pertains to DBT.
3. Practice some kind of meditation.
4. Seek out things that make you feel awe. I read an article last year that said it's impossible to feel anxiety and depression at the same time you're feeling awe. The vastness of the universe, the amazing implications of quantum physics... find something.
5. Similar to #4. Notice when you're focusing your attention inward on yourself and focus it outward. Do something nice for other people, get out of your own head.
Good luck.

Cymbalta, Seroquel and Xanax I'm also on Cymbalta, gave me diarrhea first day then on the third day made me feel like I was drunk, to the point where I would lay down and the room would spin until I threw up. It gets like that I take them more than 3 days in a row. Did it do that to you? I'm worried about taking them for longer periods.
