7/10. It's about a 8 or 9 for me until the last 25-30 minutes.

A SOLID 8/10 (within my Top 39 movies)
it's easily the #1 female directed movie.

A-+- This slides so nicely into that early 90's vibe, kinda before the 90's became the 90's (Nirvana, Tarantino, etc). Highly re-watchable. Bigelow's direction, Cameron's production, it's extremely entertaining. - Reeves & Swayze symbiotic roles here, like a passing of the 80's torch to the 90's for PG-13 action hero. I'd like to think both relished the gig. - Great action set pieces & stunts. Love the surfing, all but a wonderful ode to the sport. One of the more memorable finales I've ever seen. -- I hadn't seen it since VHS days & I guess I did falsely remembered it as a heavier experience. I guess it was during the time of Steven Segal & JCVD when action movies were paper thin. - Some of its logic drops can't hide in the 21st century. Would the FBI really storm in on a DEA sting, with only 4 agents no less? Johnny immediately accepting the Rosie ransom/hostage vid as nearly live & absolutely legit? The brick walkie talkies had to have been archaic even then. I dunno, it felt like more homework was require for realism.
