Reds for personal satisfaction; the '91 Twins/Braves and then the Rent-A-Team Marlins winning a 7 game classic over Cleveland for best.

Honestly, none. I wasn't paying all that much to baseball until the 1994 season, strike, and World Series cancellation. After that, I paid no attention for another 10 years or so.

1996. The Yankees lost the first 2 games at home then swept the next 4. It was the start of the next version of the Yankee dynasty of the late 90's & early 00's.

1993 beating the junkyard Phillies didn't feel quite as special, even with Joe's series winning HR. Besides, the first title payoff from the Jays' golden era leading up was perfect.

I was coming back from an exhibition NHL game between the Leafs and Sharks. I was 12 years old at the time. We were sitting on the TTC subway and they announced over the PA system that the Blue Jays had just won the World Series in 1992. That was when I became a bigger fan of baseball than hockey. That moment is just embedded in my mind.

Did you see the part where it said I was 12 years old in 1992? Bandwagoners stop watching when their home team starts playing like crap. Did I say I stopped watching after it took over 20 years for the team to make it back to the playoffs?

After that, I paid no attention for another 10 years or so. nihilism isn't honest. I did vote for the Braves finally winning, and monitored the McGuire-Sosa race, though I was convinced at the time that baseball had juiced the balls to get the fans back. I was too busy parenting in the early 90s, so I never saw any of the touch-em-all-Joe series. 94 just sealed the deal because the Bay Area was following Matt Williams' shot at the HR record and then, poof. Maybe running home for the Giants-A's game in 89 and getting thrown around in the quake kept me off baseball for a while. I did root against Steinbrenner.

Could have been the '93 one if if wasn't for that damned Mitch Williams pitch.

Could have been the '93 one if if wasn't for that damned Mitch Williams pitch. To be fair, game 4 was magnificent. 15-14, Jays' final 6 runs in the 8th. I can't think of a WS melee to match it yet.

1991 gets my vote not only for the best WS of the 90s, but the best of all time.

The Reds closing the door on the supposed dynasty of the Oakland A's- in a sweep. And, naturally, as the underdog.
