I was pretty disappointed with the trailer that played before TLJ. It looks pretty mediocre.

I don't think it looks very good, feels more like tv than anything else, something about the color, set design, hell even that flying creature looks like a Pokemon.

I think I may be the only person excited for this movie and who thinks it looks good.

I think I may be the only person excited for this movie and who thinks it looks good. I'm gonna give it this. It looks better than that Nutcracker movie. For the most part, Disney has been knocking it out of the park lately-unless you frequent the Star Wars boards.

Yeah, had a couple friends who've seen STAR WARS and the only positive thing they had to say was the music was good. But yeah, the Disney movies have been pretty good. I am not sure about that NUTCRACKER movie, even if it does have Morgan Freeman. I loved the WRINKLE book as a kid though, and when I saw this trailer for the WRINKLE IN TIME movie and I saw the cast list, I was sold.

But if they wanted a popular white actress for the role, why Reese? She hasn’t had a hit she solely lead in 15 years. She was never a box office star; the media made her out to be.

I mean, I guess they could have asked ten other actresses who each said 'no', but perhaps it could have been a budgetary decision- she was the cheapest 'name-actress' going around and they didn't want to spend too much money after hiring Oprah? I dunno. I mean, I have no problem with Reese as an actress (I think I've seen 3 movies of hers? An old one she did as a teen, WATER FOR ELEPHANTS, and the Chris Pine-starring THIS MEANS WAR), although I do find it sad we could have had Lupita. I could believe she used to be a star and became something more tangible and mortal, to help fight the evil/darkness.

If Reese is that cheap, then that’s a bit sad since she used to be worth $15 million. Guess making so many crap films was gonna lower your value some day. I don’t know why any other actress would say “no” to DuVernay. If they wanted a popular actress, why not Charlize Theron? Everyone loves Charlize Theron. I could actually believe her as a warm being. Witherspoon has always been too cold to be relatable.

Uh...Reese Witherspoon was a teen when she appeared in Water for Elephants (which, after all, came out in 2010 and she stopped being a teen in the 1990s.:-) ). That's an elephantine mistake, Jumbo. Happy new year..
