Who was the fookin coont who was questioning the white walker's agenda?? Lol, first 1o minutes question answered. To a sane person there never was a question, of course.

9/10.
My favorite premiere tied with the season 4 premiere. MUCH better than season 6 episode. This was focused and scene after scene had me captivated. For once, I really like Sam's story. The Hound's arc was brilliant in this premiere. The Sansa/Jon conflict and Jaime/Cersei conflict was all good. And I never thought I'd be saying this, but Euron might be a great villain.

Also a 9/10 for me. A great start to the season and a lot better than last year's 'The Red Woman'. I still think season 4's premiere is my favorite one, but this one is a very close second.

I agree about Euron. He was a bit underwhelming in season 6 so I hoped we wouldn't see him much anymore, but his performance this episode was really good. It's way too early to be sure, but if he stays this good he may be one of the unexpected great things about the season. I was also surprised about the great dialogue. Game of Thrones has always been famous for its sharp dialogue, but season 6 was more focused on the action and spectacle (which is totally fine) which lead to a little bit less focus on amazing dialogue like in season 4. I can't really tell from 1 episode, but the dialogue feels a lot fresher than in last season's premiere.

Someone on reddit a couple days a ago claimed he saw the first two episodes and not to many people believed him at the time but every detail he gave about episode one became true today. Every detail, line etc... And what he had to say about episode 2 is that 1. It's easily top 10 material 2. There's a insane ship battle 3. Euron is actually very scary. I hope it holds to be true. I agree about the dialogue, it is the much more sharp and poetic dialogue that I loved about the earlier seasons that really lacked in season 5 and 6 (which I still loved). If they can continue the epic dialogue and have the amazon spectacle/action from season 6, this could very well be the best season yet.

*Sorry about the spoiler tags, I tried to spoiler tag the ship battle but it went wacky.

Euron stole the show and completely embarrassed Jaime . I especially liked that "two Hands" bit. Seems like we have got an awesome character that we are soon gonna hate!

Why is the Baratheon sigil still on King's Landing in the credits?

Why is the Baratheon sigil still on King's Landing in the credits? I was wondering about that as well. Maybe it's because Cersei is technically still Robert's widow?

I think it was the second best premiere after season 4. Premieres are rarely too great as they mostly just set things up, but this one was excellent. Loved the Arya and Hound stuff especially.

I give it a 9. Episode was practically everything I wanted. But...I ask this...what is it exactly that Euron is going to bring Cersei that will convince her? I'm almost afraid of what it might be.

My first thought was Tyrion lol. Second thought was John's direwolf but that's way up north.
So poor Jeorah never found that cure eh? Surely this isn't the end of the line for Ser Friendzone. He's got even less of s chance now! I really was pulling for him, no joke.

It would have to be Tyrion, but it will not be. Maybe he will win some major battle, but who is there to fight right now. It is not like he will defeat Dany. Maybe he shows up in Dorne or at Highgarden and takes it for her.

I think it'll be the sandsnakes, the women that murdered her daughter. And episode three "the queens justice" is only fitting as she probably puts them to a horrible death

Metacritic doesn't have a rating for the season yet. They probably learned from their mistake last year. Then they based the rating on a couple (just 9) reviews from episode 1 and episode 1 was one of the weakest episodes of the season. Normally they showed the first 4 episodes of the season to the critics, but this stopped as of season 6. Had the critics seen the first 4 episodes of season 6 (especially The Book of the Stranger) the rating would probably have just been as high as usual. So I think they're waiting with adding reviews for season 7 now until the end of the season or at least until we have a few episodes.
