The fact this film was made has made me lose all faith in humanity. Don't get me wrong, this is a shit movie. But it's not the first time Hollywood or someone else tried to make such a cynical piece of crap. I mean, we might see the Pokémon Go! movie next decade. At the rate things are going, they'll probably make a cartoon feature film about Poppin' Fresh eventually....either that or another set of Spider-Man films.

I am not really sure about the 'Emoji' movie to be honest - the same as the upcoming movie of 'Tetris' and I will see it when it comes out but I have a bad feeling about the two of them.

I would like a live action movie of 'Pokemon.' There has been talk about making one for a while and I think the best thing to do would be to use real humans but keep the Pokemon animated like they have done in other movies.

I can't wait to see the Emoji Movie personally (I almost never go to theaters, so I see films via rental-DVD or streaming). Of course, there's a chance I won't like it, but I'd be surprised. The vast majority of films in that genre--family-oriented, animated films--I love. In fact, it would probably be reasonable to say that it's my favorite genre given my average rating for it, which is close to 10/10 for films that were released theatrically. It's rare that I don't give one a 10.

I love Pokemon (especially the cute ones) as you may have noticed in my posts.

Yup, I was right. 'The Emoji Movie' has officially spat on July 2017.
And I could not imagine that this film would get even worse reviews than 'Norm of the North'.

So yesterday I tortured myself by watching The Emoji Movie. I thought "maybe people are overhyping it as a terrible movie and it's just mediocre". But no, this movie lives up to the hype, it honestly is one of the worst attempts at making something resembling a movie I've ever seen.
The characters are atrocious and that stupid high five emoji is more annoying than Jar Jar. If I had the money to buy a new tv, I would've thrown my tv out of the window while watching this movie. It's just 2 hours of terrible product placement, they spend 15 minutes literally playing Candy Crush! It felt like a tutorial for Candy Crush. Then we go to YouTube where we see Penpineappleblablabla, we go to spotify, to Just Dance, it's just plain bad.
The characters are also some of the most boring characters I've ever seen. Almost all the characters have only one emotion, because that's the so-called funny joke, and more than half of the jokes are about the fact that the characters say things that don't fit with their emotions. For example mr. Meh talks about very dramatic and serious stuff while talking in a monotone, boring way. What a hilarious joke...
The other jokes are even worse. I feels like they were like 'well this joke is a piece of shit, but how can we make it even worse?'. There were several times in the movie where I cringed so much that I had to mute the sound and laugh/cry at how bad the joke was.
And the ending is also terrible. We end with a dance sequence (3rd time we hear the song Feel This Moment in the movie btw) and the message of the movie is so basic that I couldn't even try to care. It doesn't make it better that every single event in the movie was completely predictable.
This movie shows the worst of filmmaking in beautiful fashion. My rating scale only goes from 1 to 10 so I'll give this one a 1/10, but a 0/10 would represent the quality better. It isn't the #1 worst movie I've ever seen, but it does come close.

On the plus side for some hacks out there, the bar has been set very low for now.
