I, Tonya, I made my own soundtrack since I already had most of those songs.

The last soundtrack I listened to was the "Red Riding trilogy". The music scores for all 3 films in this crime trilogy makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Going through my CDs I forgot owned the soundtrack to the original 1987 Man on Fire, which starred Scott Glenn, Joe Pesci, Danny Aeillo and Brooke Adams. A great soundtrack that’s equally haunting, stirring and immensely touching in its cues. The friendship theme between Creasy and Sam, was reused near the end of “Die Hard” - following Rickman’s death.
Followed it up with another 1987 feature; Alex Cox’s anachronistic war film - Walker, which was composed by musician Joe Strummer. Definitely one of my favourite movie soundtracks and very unique across the board.

After you mentioned about the soundtrack on the “what horror film did you last watch” thread, which I must thank you for, I decided to check it out. After only a track or two in, I was totally hooked. I forgot just how good Manchini’s score is.

Thanks for the links Mszanadu. I haven’t listen to much of Mancini’s early scores.
Oh, I never tire of Bernard Herrmann. One of my favourites is from an underseen film; “Twisted Nerve”. It might sound familiar, as Tarantino would reuse it for “Kill Bill”.
De Palma’s 1973 “Sisters” also had another strong, if undervalued Herrmann score.

You're most welcome lostinlimbo and thanks so much for these two excellent film scores by Bernard Hermann as well . These composers certainly knew how to create such memorable works indeed .
