Excellent show, brilliantly written, produced and acted. However, I wish they aired the entire final season in one run rather than splitting them into two chunks and airing them a year apart. I wasn't as invested by the time those final seven episodes came along.
Any fans?

One of the best from the last decade. I agree about the final season, it was a greedy move that didn't serve the series.

I wasn't as invested by the time those final seven episodes came along. Any fans? They only did that because it worked for Breaking Bad (2008 - 2013). For Mad Men, not so much. Yeah, I'm a fan of the show. I jumped in a little late, around the third season or so. It was interesting seeing the view of the world that my parents grew up in. I could tell they were into it as well. My mother used to exclaim, "I remember that!", whenever an old product or something was displayed or mentioned. I believe the ending was okay. It's not something I really envisioned, but it worked. I think Don committing suicide would have been too predictable. I like the fact that they showed the Coke advertisement. It's such a catchy tune.

It was a way to maneuver the contracts of the actors so they wouldn't have to provide big raises for an entire new season. It explains the delay. In the case of Mad Men, they wrote and shot the whole thing in one go - and simply sat on the second half for a year. Highly cynical move.
