From like the beginning up through 1965 their music sucked...why is the music they made after that so much better? From revolver to abbey road it was great. Before that not so much.

MMMM Maybe, considering they were on drugs right before rubber souls , that is if you consider pot a drug. And that was the last time they sucked.

The Beatles did the same three minute pop songs that everyone from Bill Haley to Buddy Holly did. No one in pop/rock did anything else. And their songs didn't "suck".

I agree. At the beginning they seemed to be trying to emulate their influences by doing catchy short and concise pop songs. Its true they did have some weak entries, but they also had some very good ones. I wouldn't say they sucked either, but I guess that's a matter of personal taste.

Although there's quality songs in there, the shiny pop sucks in comparison to what came afterwards.

They were still stuck in Brian Epstein's world. What do you see in early 60s music that they should have been doing instead. They were one of the trailblazers into what was to come - they had been pretty miserable, which is also why their focus changed once they quit touring.

Ob La Di Ob La Da, Within Without You, Honey Pie, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Revolution 9. I'd take any track off of A Hard Day's Night over those that I just mentioned.
