Anybody watching this ?
It's a bit BBaddish with Jason Bateman playing the Walter White part although his character Marty Byrde is no innocent chemistry teacher cooking Meth. He's a money launderer for a drug cartel, whose partner skimmed a few mill for himself. After everybody is suitably punished Marty survives by spinning a yarn that has enough appeal to the cartel, to get them their money back plus.....but can he make it work ? He's given 3 months to do that or..... Episodes 1+2 have me hooked and it doesm't take long to realise that this isn't a BB copy, Far from it.

I rate it as the best show on Netflix. But I didn't quite get the ending of the last episode of Season 2. Did Wendy ask Helen to have Cade killed? If so, why? Was it just to get back the $500,000 that Wendy gave to Cade? Also, what was the building that was blown up? Was that Marty's offices? Who blew it up - the Kansas City mob or the cartel?
Will there be a Season 3?

Wendy arranged to have Cade killed by the Kansas City mob and his $500000 taken from him. It was her way of pacifying the KCM after Marty agreed with the approval committee that they would be "dumped" from the project. The KCM did blow up Marty's offices as a bit of retaliation
Jason Bateman has said that he wants more seasons

Just about to finish up with season 1. Couple questions: why does Marty directly launder his money in places he owns? I mean those guys open up shell companies and you don't launder cash like in your back yard! lol. He could own a bar in Seattle and live in, say Florida. Just bizarre. Even the slow kid who likes Bob Seager could figure that out!!!

I really enjoyed season 1, and was loving the early episodes in season 2 but it just kinda fell apart from there. The new storylines weren't nearly as captivating, and an entire episode devoted to Mason was brutal. The 3 keys for me were Cade was the most uninteresting villain, wholly one-dimensional and irrelevant to the story, they killed off the most dynamic and interesting character in Jacob Snell (plus they telegraphed it from a mile away) and they kind of committed character assassination to Ruthie, rendering her from the capable and cunning sidekick to Marty to a teary-eyed, emotional redneck who suddenly can't really accomplish anything. A good show, and definitely better than the endless morass of shit that Netflix seems to pump out with reckless abandon, but season 2 was a substantial step down from the first season for me.

I liked it when Homo FBI agent had that bizarre slow mo let's destroy the appliances in my room moment near the end of Season 1.

If there is a season 3, they will have their work cut out replacing Jacob and the FBI guy, Roy, although they successfully brought in Janet McTeer for Del.

The writers need to understand there are more ways to end a character than actually, killing them. Harris Yulin's character is my fav. He needs a bigger role.
