I have been enjoying many rarely-shown Ronald Coleman movies (with sound) on TCM this month to fill in the gaps of those that I had already seen. I have always found his mellifluous voice to be winning, no matter what the movie may be.
Here is a list of movies that I had already seen and those that I have been able to see for the first time:
Already Seen:
Champagne for Caesar
A Double Life
The Late George Apley
Kismet
Random Harvest
The Talk of the Town
The Prisoner of Zenda
Lost Horizon
A Tale of Two Cities
Arrowsmith
Seen or--to be seen--on TCM this month:
If I Were King
The Light That Failed
My Life with Caroline
Lucky Partners
Raffles
The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo
Clive of India

As a teenager,Random Harvest(1942) a far out love story, was one of my favorites, Colman and Garson were perfect--I wrote to Greer Garson in the late 1970's(my father's girlfriend knew a hairdresser who did her hair)and she replied to me with high class and affection

with wife Benita Hume as they did Radio shows. He was payed a brand new Cadillac for this one minute role in Around the World in 80 Days 1956. The sad end to a great career, ambitious movie that became a Turkey award winner, (man on left is Vincent Price)
