You Don't Know Jack - Al Pacino Pacino, in the calendar year of his 75th birthday (2014), went Full Senior Citizen with three releases of him as an Oldster in various Oldster Conditions ranging from memory loss and delusions to life crisis to grumpy loneliness. In “Danny Collins” he is a singer trying to revitalize his career; in “Manglethorn” he is a grouchy old man who has alienated everyone around him; in “The Humbling” he is Simon Axler, a famous actor who is melting down and slipping into dementia. Too bad that he has fallen into "Senior" stereotypes.

Victor Sjöström Three old actors during the making of The Sea Wolves in 1980. Making the movie in warm India wasn't good for David Niven's health that soon became worse.

A bit tasteless to post that picture, teleadm. The poor old guys are even confused about their own names. I have not reached that stage yet, but I am as confused as hell about everyone else's. ................................. I don't think anyone has mentioned Nebraska (2013) dir: Alexander Payne yet? I think Payne's best yet.

A delightfully charming little seen British B Classic is Small Hotel (1957). This wonderful gem stars 72 year old Gordon Harker in the lead role, a popular and talented actor who began his career in the early 20s . Albert, (Harker) a crafty old waiter in a country hotel known as The Jolly Fiddler. City management decides that he is too old for the job and will be replaced by a hard-nosed young waitress named Miss Mallet... Twenty years after appearing on stage in this lively play written by Rex Frost , this was to be Harker's penultimate film, he reprises the role of a belligerent hotel waiter having to use all his wit and cunning to save his job. Harker is in excellent, typically jovial form, dominating comic proceedings with his polished expertise... The film was the debut for Janet Munro...

They obviosly knew they were sitting in the wrong chairs, or the cameraman just noticed that they sat down in the first best chair, and thought it was a funny pic to take.
