I mean, maybe if it came at the end of a great Superman trilogy but not before JL is released!
But even more than the prematurity of it... It sucks that JL can't exist as something of a standalone. I have no intention of ever watching BvS again so it'd be nice if JL wasn't basically a sequel to it.
Also, Supes probably won't appear until the climax. And having him in only 25% of what may be the only JL movie ever is very depressing.

Sticking the Death of Superman story into BvS was a terrible decision imo. Especially since it was shoved into a film that already had a load of sub plots going on at the same time. Plus we'll probably never see it done again in live action which sucks since it's a story that needs doing justice

Everything that happened in BVS as stupid as it was, I think people might (*might*) have been more forgiving (say a 30 or 40% on RT) if they didn't kill off Superman. It was the most vivid experience of having the proverbial bad taste left in your mouth I can recall from a summer blockbuster in years.

I don't mind that they killed him in BvS (true, sue me) but! if they were going to do that, then they needed to show us the positivity Superman brought to the world, or at the very least let us into the character's mind and heart (rather than have him be more introspective, introverted, pensive). Because it's all just....implied, but we "know" who superman is, but the movie kind of relies on our knowledge to advance in world building, and we "get" how Clark feels in BvS, but we're kept at a distance with his stoic silence.
However story-wise....I think it's an interesting take, making Batman take that leap of faith and recruit, to bring people in again after having lost many, and with Superman it's about the world understanding who he was, and hopefully for Superman himself as well.

They killed Supes to differentiate JL from Avengers , ie audacity of showing death of a major superhero. And to show the remaining one's felt genuinely threatened to go out and seek strength in unity. I agree , BVS was not good in handling Superman death story arc.

The death of Superman is something a filmmaker should have to earn. At this point in time, his death is just too premature and unearned, and when his return will just kill any future tension the series might have ever had.

It probably won't be the only Justice League ever.

If you seriously think the death of Quicksilver is in any way equatable to killing off Supes after just two appearances, you are even dumber than I first imagined.
