Probably the first episode of Discovery. Not really interested in anything recent from McFarlane.

The promos for the orville are so painfully stupid I can't imagine any non masochist wanting to watch it.

I'll watch whatever part of Star Trek I can see for free. I'm certainly watching The Orville. Of course Fox will cancel it quickly as it does with all of their sci-fi shows that don't start with X and end with Files.

I don't follow why it needs to be an or I'll watch ST:D, because I'll be able to, if I was able to watch The Orville I'd watch that too.

I've been a hardcore Star Trek fan since the mid-90s (the first Star Trek series I watched from day one was Voyager), and I'm #teamorville all the way. I never thought a Seth MacFarlane spoof of Star Trek would look more fun and compelling than the real thing, but that's the reality now.

I never thought a Seth MacFarlane spoof of Star Trek would look more fun and compelling than the real thing, but that's the reality now. Exactly. The Orville has the look and feel of The Next Generation, which Seth is a huge fan of, having had some or all of the cast appear several times on his animated shows. Plus, for a change, the sets are brightly lit and the effects look real and clear, unlike most of science fiction after The Next Generation.
