I wonder if there'll be awesome 90s references to things like Seinfeld, X Files, or Super Nintendo. Well, we know from GotG2 and SMH that MCU likes to use penis jokes so they'll probably have plenty of jokes about Bill Clinton getting a blowjob in the Oral Office (er, I meant Oval Office). Well, it's not exactly fair to project GotG's humor onto the entire studio. The jokes in those movies are decidedly lowbrow (sticks up the ass, giant turds, one night stands with aliens) and you really don't see those at all in the other MCU movies.

We don't know how they'll handle this. Maybe she doesn't, maybe it's something else So that's not part of the comics character, then? I honestly don't know a thing about her. I didn't read a lot with her in it, so I can't say, but a quick Wikipedia search will probably get you covered. I don't think anybody will be offended if she's longer lived because of her powers or it's some sort of status or time thing. Who knows.

But MCU will probably add Tony Stark to the Captain Marvel movie, just like they added him to Cap 3 and to SMH. So MCU's 1st female-led superhero movie is going to copy DCEU's 1st female-led superhero movie by taking place in the past. Well Wonder Woman was during WWI while Captain Marvel will most likely be in the 1990's or the very early 2000's. Those are pretty different. Yeah, but even though Wonder Woman was during WWI and The First Avenger was during WWII, MCU fans claim that Wonder Woman copied The First Avenger. So since Wonder Woman took place in the past and Captain Marvel will also take place in the past, then using the same reasoning that MCU fans used, Captain Marvel will be a copy of Wonder Woman.

So MCU's 1st female-led superhero movie will be about a superhero that doesn't age and will be set in the past. Hmmm, that sounds very familiar. Where I have seen that before?

I'm a huge MCU fan, for sure. I haven't liked half of the DCEU. Suicide Squad was entertaining, and WW was absolutely amazing. But I have to agree with you. Even as huge of an MCU fan as I am, I can't see how one couldn't notice the similarities. This is the MCU's first female lead superhero film... and it's a prequel to the entire universe? Just like WW was the DCEU's first female lead suerhero film.. and it was a prequel? Also, if they have her have that immortality, that's just going to be way too identical. I'm aware of how different the WWI era and the 90s are.. but come on. Whether the MCU had it planned before or not.. it will always seem like it copied WW, and that's super frustrating.

Even if it was planned.. they should change it. It will always seem like they copied WW whether they did or didn't. correct, but to steal and to be stolen, that's my motto, man.
- Cap 1 stole the WWII scenario and the hero's-going-to-the-present thing from Hellboy I.
- WonderWoman stole the WW scenario from Cap 1.
- Captain Marvel stole the female prequel scenario from WW,
and so on....the circle is complete...

Pre-Iron Man! Skrulls! One of the last films of Phase III! Could they be setting up for Phase IV being based on the Secret Invasion storyline. If so, a pretty brave/fucked up move.
