Which three albums by which artist would you say were two great albums followed by complete garbage? Has to be consecutive studio albums only.
I would say Judas Priest's "Screaming for Vengeance" and "Defenders of the Faith" were great, while "Turbo" IMO is the worst album of their entire career.

Agreed. They tried to make up for it with Re-Load. It was....okay.

You're missing an album in the sequence there, however. It was The Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, Psalm 69, Filth Pig. No argument about the descent of quality, mind you. I don't rate Psalm 69 as highly as it's three predecessors, either, but Filth Pig was cack. |

Oh, yes. That's right, too. It's probably because I didn't have "The Mind...." on CD.

Pepper's" " utter crap" may be a bit too much. But it is crap. If anyone runs home to play "Within You Without You," "Fixing A Hole," "Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite," "When I'm Sixty Four"...then they need a better life. Those four songs are among The Beatles worst ever songs...and they are on one album! Four bad songs on one album equals crap album. (I will admit I personally do like "When I'm Sixty Four," but I do recognize that many people really hate that stupid little song. The other three - "Within You," "Fixing A Hole," "Mr. Kite" are absolutely terrible songs and I do hate them.) |
