Patriot Games (8/10): the first movie in the unofficial "Alec Baldwin role/played by Harrison Ford" collection, and for being in a list of you-know-what's involving Sean Bean- a very focused (and yes, sympathetic) villain.

If I had to rank them: PATRIOT GAMES is just barely ahead of RED OCTOBER, (3)would be SHADOW RECRUIT, (4)is CLEAR AND PRESENT, and (5)is SUM OF ALL FEARS though it's barely behind PRESENT.

I have Hunt at 1, and Patriot Games at 1a. Three through five interchangeable and average.

Hunt for Red October for certain. It's aged very well. In light of recent shows like Homeland or The Americans, I think if they ever revisit the books, it should be a television series. Make each book a different season.

Has anyone seen the new JACK RYAN show? I admit, I'm not sure if it is available yet or just advertising, but the trailer looked good when I saw it a while back.

Red October easily. I did enjoy the reboot from a couple of years ago though, and it's a shame that it didn't lead to more. I thought Chris Pine, Kevin Costner and Keira Knightley had good chemistry with each other.

I love the original 3. I liked Shadow Recruit. I despised Sum of All Fears. Ben Affleck was a joke during this period. He's better now (such as in Argo).

What is your own Number 1 Favorite "JACK RYAN" Movie ? Tough call between the two with Harrison Ford -- I'll give a slight edge to CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER.
