Too many movies too little time to spend figuring out a number.
Like it or not like it.
Buy a copy if I've seen it and like it.
Buy a copy sight unseen and then decide to keep it or donate it to a thrift shop.
Favorite films are "forever films" that have been seen over and over and over.

I liked Ebert's 4 stars... which were from 0 to 4 with halves, 9 different options.
I got my alpha ratings from EW back in the printed page days of yore.
From A+ to F, it gives me 13 options, skipping E of course.

moviemouthI never tried to do that but since the majority of movies i have seen score a 5/10 i would assume my average has to be in that ball park. which must be about right given what i can see quickly on IMDb... IMDb stats on genres for me... my highest rated genre is 5.57 for the average and the lowest rated genre for the average is 4.71. but outside of that 4.71 genre ALL other genres average a 5.00 or higher for me.
