I usually check out a movie's imdb rating before I watch, or else already know its reputation so I rarely watch really bad movies. I almost never give a movie a rating below 3/10 but Freddy Got Fingered (2001) might be the exception. Scene after scene of gross-out humor and unpleasantness for the sake of it.

I do look at Rotten Tomatoes but I usually watch the movie anyway--hell,I Frankenstein(2015) only got 3% on RT,but there were some scenes I liked--Transformers III I loved but only 35% on RT--The worst "popular" movies I've ever seen are Moonrise Kingdom(2012) followed by Arrival(2016)--both of these movies have a 94% RT rating--hated Rogue one also and that has a 85% R/T score

I doubt I'll ever see a worse movie than Kids. Although Larry Clark tried to outdo himself with Bully, but that actally seemed resectable by comparison.

Little Nicky with Adam Sandler...I usually find something to like about every movie, but that one, I just wanted it to end. I actually liked his stuff before that movie, but haven't gone out of my way to see anything with him in it since.

Excluding z-movies and intentional trash (some of which is actually quite enjoyable), the worst I've seen is a film called Radiance (1998). Awful.

I've been pretty successful at avoiding really bad films, but the worst ever was Monster's Ball. I don't care if Halle Berry won an Oscar. Extremely bad. I wouldn't have seen it except my date wanted to back at its release.

There have been a few over the years for me but this one is not the worst one I have ever seen it was however definitely not my cup of tea here either ( but if others here liked this one - that's cool ) . The Ruins 2008 Another one that I found more annoying than the one above here - Open Water 2: Adrift 2006 Thanks sdm3 for your subject post .

There are others that come close like The Last Airbender or The Avengers (1998) or Batman&Robin. These are still in my top ten worst list but this one, this one right here just bothered me. It hit me in the right spot.

Tricky thing to decide, given that really bad movies can be hilariously entertaining, and if they're entertaining, they can't be bad. It would have to be a movie that was so stultifyingly boring and had no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
