While I think the Russos are gonna do a great job with both Infinity War and Avengers 4, I still Wish Whedon had returned to direct all of them. He just seems like the perfect guy to make all of these.

I don't know. He turned Ultron from a cold and terrifying killing machine into a robot joke Despenser and probably would have done the same for Thanos.
Don't get me wrong I like Joss whedon. Buffy the vampire Slayer and Firefly are two of my favorite shows, but he put too much of himself in age of Ultron. Maybe if Marvel got other writers and Joss just directed it would be fine.

i'd have heartily agreed after Avengers Assemble. less so after Age of Ultron.
though i could say similar for Civil War following the Winter Soldier from the Russos.

Please. No more Whedon. He does not do serious. You cannot have a sustained suspenseful fantasy story where it breaks into a one liner every 30 seconds.
But then I already said I think Thanos is miscast and cartoony so it already has a big minus in my book.

As in you would pick a different villain (or portrayal) or a different actor? If the villain who would you pick or what would you change? If the actor Who do you see as the mad Titan?

I would use someone from cartoons who has a strong type voice. or some older actor I cant think of right now. Like a Megatron or Venger from the Dungeons and Dragons. A villain has to sound villainous--like Doctor Doom here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSKsJucPJGsThe Wonder Woman villainess here has the appropriate voice (no I am not saying Thanos should sound like that--just showing they cast the voice well--and as an excuse to post this again because this is a great cinematic--the giant woman falling into a building--the movies need that sort of thing) www.youtube.com/watch?v=laEGjdgtZSQ

I'm sorry but those are awful. Imo. Better than Brolin. His voice is too anonymous and too mild. The ones I would choose are all dead like a James Coburn or Robert Mitchum. David Warner came to mind but I havent heard his voice in a while and he is getting on in years. If his voice is as good as it was 20 years ago than he is better than Brolin. He is supposed to be some super god dude, not sounding like James Brolin's son.

David Warner sounds right for Doom but I don't see him has Thanos.

I think he is too mild actually but he was the only one who came to mind among living actors who I know from voiceover work. I like his voice but I dont think he has enough of a menacing quality for Doom. If I could think of a current voice I would, but actors don't have the voice projection they used to have. Thanos is kind of alien looking anyway. They could even add some sort of voice modulation to make him sound more otherworldly. Another one would have been Brock Peters (but again he's dead). Dammit. Now I am pissed I cant think of a living person for it.

Maybe Vin Diesel? But he is Groot and easily recognizable.

Idk. I love Marvel but honestly, I don't have much hype for infinity wars. I disliked the first two avengers.

I am a fan of Marvel. Maybe not a "True fan" eyes of fanboys who can't take a criticism on a marvel movie. I think MCU has plenty of great movies out there, and I love most of them a lot actually. I just think both Avenger movies aren't that good and quite overrated.
