I love how she packed all those fancy dresses for her trip, but ran out at the end and had to just wear long johns for the final act....

"We cannot, and must not, fall in love, Ani. Now, let's go wear black leather corsets and drink wine by the fireplace." Ackbar please, Naboo gals, especially former queens, have to maintain their style standards. And don't forget that haute couture leather dress was a real Lucas, designed by Master George himself (as he proudly tells in the audio commentray).

Thread about Rey: in depth discussion about her character, motivations, backstory, role in the series, role in pop culture, and the good and bad all that entails.
Thread about Padme: "Who else wants to bang this broad?"

Thread about Padme: "Who else wants to bang this broad?" To be fair Padmé's character was tirelessly discussed and criticized 15 to 5 years ago. A more frivolous post at this point is a little more expected than Rey who is current. And in case you think Rey is being left out, there's a thread on the general Star Wars board about whether Rey wears pantries when she trains with Luke.

For some reason I found her more appealing in the Star Wars movies than anything else I’ve seen her in—and I’m not exactly sure why. But I really got caught up in the story and the characters. It kind of made me melancholy, which is strange—but it did come off as a real tragedy, and I felt her side of the tragedy more than anyone’s (even Ani’s). Anyway. I can understand criticisms about Christensen’s performance, especially in Attack of the Clones, but I thought Miss Portman did a fine job. Admittedly, I did think she was preternaturally beautiful here.

Admittedly, I did think she was preternaturally beautiful here. a lot of the fascination comes from the costumes too - which were beautifully and crreatively designed in the PT, especially Padme's (a few by Lucas too). It's an aspect most male Sci Fi fans dismiss as chick stuff, but it's an asset of the art design.
Carrie Fisher once complained that her "mother" got all the fancy dresses, while she had to run around in glorified potato sacks.
