Child's play gave me nightmares for years and a fear of porcelain dolls. Brothers: this will be great movie, it's about dolls, you'll love it. 6 year old me: Yeah okay. I can't even look at a picture of Chucky without my heart racing. I was wondering if anybody else had ever watched a movie that scared you so much that it caused you to have nightmares or made you frightened of something?

Nightmare on elm street 4 friday the 13th part 3
...but that was back in the 80's
last thing i remember giving me a nightmare was an episode of the X-files season one. Mulder and scully get trapped in a cabin attacked by little green bugs that attack in the dark.

Was NOES 4 the one with the pizza, where he sticks his knife into one of the meatballs on it. That one made me feel a little bit sick.

What's worse is I had meatballs for dinner today.

A nightmare on elm street. I was quite young when I watched it and refused to goto sleep.
On a side note, I took my mom to see lights out (she is not a fan of horror) and I guess she kept her lights on for over a week.

We used to watch The Shining on tape a lot when I was a kid. The bathtub scene used to creep me out. I used to imagine seeing a silhouette on the curtain at the side of my bath and a hand pulling it back.

Not me but this movie sent my wife to the hospital. Trilogy of Terror (1975) starring Karen Black. We laugh about it now but she was not laughing when she watched it.

Strange as it seems ...Logan's Run ...the Carousel scene in that movie freaked the hell out of me in the 1970,s when I was about four .

When I was 9 or 10 we rented some film and one of the trailers was for one of the Howling movies, and it showed a brief shot of a werewolf snarling. I couldn't sleep at night for a long time after that and it really messed me up. What's funny is now I love a good werewolf movie and I honestly watch a lot of it with a certain desensitized detachment, mainly watching for the technical side of it (how good is the cgi, the transformation scenes, the animatronics, etc.).

I don't remember where they were, however, I do remember my brothers getting really wrong for it. What made it ten times worse was my Mam bought me a porcelain doll for Christmas that year and stuck it on top of my wardrobe so it was looking down at me when I was lying in bed.

On a side note, I took my mom to see lights out (she is not a fan of horror) and I guess she kept her lights on for over a week. A nightmare on Elm Street is pretty freaky until I noticed in the end scene the mattress he landed on when he got thrown over the stairs by Nancy. Kinda took the scare out of it a little bit. I don't think I've heard of lights out.

In elementary school I had a nightmare about Jason Vorhees attacking a bunch of us in a large house. I killed him and took off his mask. Underneath he was Clint Eastwood. Go figure.
