Anyone else feel weird about Homecoming? Yeah, it's canon, but doesn't feel like true MCU? As if it's the illegitimate love child the family just found out about and now it's always around? Honestly, its feels like a Phase 1 MCU film, when they didn't HAVE a set true feel that passed from film to film yet. I think that's the result of the MCU Spider-Man having some growing pains to go through just the same as its protagonist. |

The only question I ever have when they make these B.O. comparisons is whether ticket prices are the same or adjusted before being taken into account. It's still a big success either way. It's going to end up over $700 mill and that's just short of films like Guardians which were considered massive successes. It's a tough thing to gauge because on one hand you want to say that Spidey should beat Guardians, but on the other hand it is the 6th spidey film and 3rd different version, and to still be making this kind of money is impressive. It's also the 4th major comic book film to come out this year, just 2 months after Guardians 2 and 1 month after Wonder Woman, and then of course we all know Thor is coming up, and people hate hearing this, but people only go to see so many movies a year. If you released 10 of these in one year, all 10 are making less money per film than if you had released any one of them by itself that year. Homecoming is probably a 900 mil film without Logan, Guardians, Wonder Woman, and Thor all coming out this year, and that is a factor that has to be taken into account. |

I've seen it 3 times now and I love all the little connections to the MCU. Yeah, that's certainly the driving factor. I loved how Spidey slipped into Civil War, but it still seems different. I need to forget about Sony. |

SMH just sucks, which is why it had a 62% nosedive in its 2nd weekend and another 50% nosedive in its 3rd weekend after word-of-mouth quickly spread that SMH is just another over-rated and over-hyped MCU movie. |
