Best Unis Best Home Stadium / Atmosphere.
I know there's a lot of SEC bashers out there amongst us - and I'm sorry folks ....
But I've got to go Tennessee Volunteers on both counts .....
Nothing like over 100,000 packed into Neyland Stadium with the Smokey Mountains in the back on a Saturday night against a rival like Florida, Auburn, Georgia or Alabama.
Checkerboard End Zone, the quasi Yellow/Orange Unis - I think the Vols have everyone beat on both counts here.
Sorry Big 10.

I love a traditional uniform. Not that crap Oregon vomits every week. In no particular order...
Michigan--blue jersey, yellow pants (that's not really a maize color they wear is it?) Florida--blue jersey, orange or white pants Oklahoma--crimson jersey, white pants Penn St--blue jersey, white pants Nebraska--red jersey, white pants and vice versa Florida St--garnet jersey, gold pants BYU--blue jersey, white pants Miami--green jersey, orange pants; orange jersey, green pants (white pants on both as well) Kansas St--purple jersey, silver pants Texas--burnt orange jersey, white pants Utah--red jersey, white pants Syracuse--blue jersey, orange pants Arizona--blue jersey, white pants Tennessee--orange jersey, white pants and vice versa ...and so on.
Get rid of that same jersey and pant color crap. It's fugly and annoying. Same color shirts and pants should be left on the basketball court. Also, too many teams have 'Oregon' syndrome. That ain't good. WTH is Tennessee doing in gray helmets, gray jerseys, and gray pants??? That's just WRONG. Peyton Manning would roll over in his grave if he were dead.

It's amazing you brought up Oregon - because that University is what was on my mind when I made this thread. And believe me - I love the atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest. A new uniform every week? I'll pass. Where's the sense of 'We're one - amongst students and alumni - and we bleed our colors' May be the same colors every week but a different design? Meh. Noticed you had some Big 10 (when are they going to change that name) teams in their. Yeah - those iconic 100,000 packed stadiums are a sight. Nice to see some Big 12 teams in there. I'd love to visit that area of the States but never have. I'll watch a game with a packed house between Kansas and Oklahoma St with crystal blue skies - knowing there's probably nothing but cornfields outside of the stadium - but always wondered what the after party (if there is one is like). Do they just go to some blue collared 'farmer' bar to sip on beer and whiskey? I imagine things are rather 'slow' out there - but that's always intrigued me

Kansas and Oklahoma St? ? Kansas has been in a slump for...almost a decade now. What about Oklahoma-Texas? Oklahoma-Oklahoma St? Oklahoma St-Texas? Baylor-TCU? Well, maybe not Baylor right now. They've had some.....issues. Kansas St-West Virginia? Did you watch 'The Grapes of Wrath' (1940) recently? Cornfields? Your biggest corn producing states are up in Big Ten country (Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska). Remember, this is 2017, not 1917. Big XII country isn't exactly vast wastelands of dust filled farmlands with illiterate and drunk rednecks. I'm sure they have a few here and there as does everyone else, but, it's a minority. That region also has indoor plumbing, hotels, movie theaters, sports arenas, restaurants, museums, expressways, and even a few Walmarts, etc.

My college friends and I go to a college football game every year. I think this is our 27th year (this year's game: LSU at Ole Miss).
We went to Oregon last year (saw a great game: Colorado at Oregon). I agree 1000% about the uniforms, but I really liked Autzen Stadium. My favorite of the Pac-12 stadiums we've been to (also been to UCLA, Arizona, Stanford, and Colorado). And Eugene would be the type of town I could retire to.

'Death Valley' is another sight to behold at nighttime on ESPN - especially when they're playing a hated rival ahead of them like 'Bama, Georgia, Florida, etc. I don't get the hate for the SEC. The 'pageantry' is amazing - just like it is for a lot of schools - but there's something about watching LSU - Auburn, Tennessee - Florida, etc to me at nighttime in the fall.

I take two giant bags of Dorito's 'Spicey Nacho', cook ground Beef, some cheddar and mozz to melt on top with onions, green peppers and mushrooms.............i add very light Prego Spaghetti sauce for a 'kick' - BANG!!!!

bleeding the colors went out the window once they saw how much bunce they can make off selling multiple designs of jerseys. that's what sickens me. all about money. here's the thing though. i get joey harrington (who was a bust with detroit) i get chip kelly. they were successful for a bit without him. i get it may be a 'hot uni' for kids to buy due to the colors- but truth be told - who's buying 'Oregon' jerseys now? i gotta google this - there's got to be something more to it - like they donate everything to starving kids in africa or something

A few talk about the PAC-12 but none mention the glory and aura of Husky Stadium. No other stadium has both mountain and water views, the 3rd or 4th loudest crowd in the world, and the new renovation from field level looks spectacular with the most high tech amenities and computerized electronic system than any college stadium. The new reno looks sharp and Vader-esque if Darth Vader was a sports stadium.

Got to visit Northern Cali for a job interview once (didn't get it). Would love to make my way up to that area at one point. What you described with Washington's stadium/atmosphere is kind of like why I like Tennessee. I'm a giant nature dork. Love the camera pans to the Smokey Mountains in the back at night time with the leaves changing colors.

Yeah Neyland stadium has some very nice views of the Smokeys in the distance and the river but sadly no views from within the stands. It however is 1 of only 3 stadiums where fans can arrive by boat. The other 2 are Baylor's new McLane stadium and Husky stadium (by yacht too).

As a middle aged married man I'll probably go for the ambiance (and the food); as a student, point me to the hot slutty debutantes.

Over the outfield/Stadium backdrop - you get to see a really nice view of the city/surroundings. Look - I'm no Notre Dame fan and I'm Irish Catholic - but that 'Touchdown Jesus' and those golden helmets are pretty epic too........

AL is strange in that not only do they have cheerleaders on the field but they also have 100 or so team spiriters (no idea what to call them) that are always seen in the stands during home games. If I was an AL fan or a visiting team fan, I would want those 100 or so hard to get seats reserved for the public.
