La La Land should win but I have a sinking feeling Moonlight, Hidden Figures or Fences will win so they can appear 'diverse'.

La La Land.
Although I'd rather see Moonlight be the upset win. However, La La Land is still a pretty good film.

I think La La Land is a lock for this. I don't know. It's probably Hell or High Water in my opinion.

OK, so I was wrong. Quite an ending though. Wow. What the hell happened?

That was some major BS!
changed at the last second. you know it's all politics though in why Moonlight won.

I thought La La Land was going to win, but I'm delighted that Moonlight won. Moonlight is a better film than La La Land and deserved to win. It has nothing do with race or politics or anything like that.

At least the mix up was between 2 worthy films.

MoviefanI would not be so sure personally. it does make you think that those are a factor given all of the recent complaining with #OscarsSoWhite BS etc. which is basically them demanding more awards just because they are a minority regardless if they deserve it or not. but it's liberal Hollywood so they get to kiss up to two things they like which is homosexual themed movie and minority movie at the same time. i should not have been TOO surprised. p.s. for the record... i have not seen La La Land or Moonlight. ill probably give La La Land a chance at some point though but i won't be surprised if i can't finish it.

Technically it was not for more awards but more nominations. No one was complaining because people of color weren't winning they were complaining because they weren't even being nominated with all the categories completely white.

Courwes assuming that's correct... they should know that's to be mostly expected (i.e. white will be nominated the most and win the most) given white people tend to make up a large portion of more major movies in general. it's like if the reverse were true in that blacks dominated movies and us whites were in the minority then it's naturally expected whites won't win anywhere near as many awards in general or even be nominated for that matter. so that's why i see all of that recent #OscarsSoWhite BS just forcing the academy to put them in the mix regardless if they deserve it or not. if i was in their spot i would rather have the nomination(or win) be legit (makes it worth more this way(but i guess they say those who get awards seem to get more on the radar with their career and in this sense they probably don't care of the win is legit simply because it benefits their career)) then a forced one because you pretty much told them to give you more nominations/awards. hell, even if the wins were legit, many will assume it's politics given all of the recent stuff i was mentioning.
