soullimbo Is it that they've all worked with live animals except Aubrey Plaza who did a voice over for an animated cat. Oliver Reed - Elephant (Hannibal Brooks)/ Dog (Oliver!) Julie Delpy - Dog (Weiner-Dog) Elizabeth Taylor - Horse (Pie) and dog (Lassie) Michael Madsen - Whale (Free Willy) Suzanne Pleshette - Dog (The Ugly Dachshund) and Birds Gregg Henry - Dogs (Mean Dog Blues) Aubrey Plaza - Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever (voice) Like the previous guesser, you're on the right track....with animals, as a clue, I will say that the connection is specific to one kind of animal. To recap, they are all connected for the same reason. In your example, they all worked with live animals EXCEPT Aubrey. moviebuff really was on the right track....

Snakes? In addition to Madsen,Delpy got bitten by one in Voyager. Taylor wore snake jewelry in Cleopatra, so she could be the odd man out.

Dogs seem to be a common factor? Dog bites perhaps?

Suzanne Pleshette is also bitten by a snake in Nevada Smith, and I assume Reed gets bitten by one in the 81 movie Venom.
Edit: Plaza is bitten by one in Life After Beth and Gregg Henry in Fair Game (thanks Cinamorgue!)
Edit: and Taylor commits suicide by snake in Cleopatra.

The odd one out is Julie Delpy. All the others died after being bitten by a venomous snake, however, she survived twice, in two different movies (The air I breathe / Voyagers)

I'd never have got that. Actually I'd only heard of three of the actors. Reed, Pleshette and Taylor. I'd never heard of the other three. But then I am kinda long in the tooth.

Cecil Kellaway played Gainsborough and was from South Africa. That's all I got.
Don't know where to start on the other one.

moviebuffbrad --- Cecil Kellaway is wrong, and the Gainsborough clue is not about the painter himself. Hint - Where does an artist work? Further clue - Comedies.

I've got one, too ( not film-related--oh, and not political, just to pre-empt any questions), though I'm trying to work on alfromni's. Metacomet ("King Philip") Vincent Van Gogh Donald Trump Louis Dewis Bonnie Parker William Hartnell Clarence Darrow

Salzmank - Re Metacomet et al. There is one obvious connection, and that is that they've all had biographies written about them, but I'm sure that's not the connection you're looking for.
