BATouttaheckWho was I? Natalie Wood is correct! Your missing clues were: Lohengrin - Opera written by Wagner Nixon - Maria's singing voice in WSS was provided by Marni Nixon Gideon - A long running TV series about Cdr Gideon (of Scotland Yard), played by John Gregson. Gregson also being the surname of her 2nd husband and daughter by him.

An IMDB Masonic lodge going on? (Just kidding.) Yes, didn't you know? It's a subset of "The Puzzlers." You didn't? Oh, well, then, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but...

BATouttaheckRe: PERSON I'm completely flummoxed Bat. I've tried a few of the obvious candidates, and have got nowt. I'm guessing that this person is/was a male, probably a Westerns star. Many movie stars play golf, but where the Pie, Wolf, and Monkey comes in I've no idea. Is he...or she...alive or dead?

BATouttaheckRe: PERSON The best shot I can come up with (and probably completely wrong) is... John WayneClues: Red long-johns - Can't remember the movie title but I've seen red underwear in one of his movies. Frying pan - I recall him swiping someone with a frying pan, but again I can't remember which movie. Spittoon - famous scene with JW and Robert Mitchum in "El Dorado". Incredibly long barroom brawl - There have been a few, but I recall one in "Donovan's Reef" with Lee Marvin Golf tournament - ? Shirt-tail - ? Pie - Probably he gave someone a pie in the face in one of his movies during his long career. Wolf - "Rio Lobo" (Lobo is Spanish for Wolf) Monkey - "Circus World". Must have been a monkey in there somewhere. Never saw the movie. And that's it.

BATouttaheck Don't ask me to fill in other clues, but with films such as "A Monkey's Tale" and "A Dinner of Herbs", a wild guess at John Hurt.
