But will he accept it? Or he'll throw it in the ocean, Titanic style.

Lame. I think it should be very clear at this point that the man just wants to be left alone.

i love that guy.
i hope he remains hidden ignoring interviews, throwing out the first pitch, movie deals, etc.
then we get to see him on Dateline, 20/20, 48 Hrs, etc just opening up as an old man in a retirement home talking about how he meant no harm and just loved the Cubs

They were actually giving it to Alou, but Bartman reached in and took it.
I mean, I get it. The guy's had death threats and has practically been in hiding. But a WS ring?? The team have elevated this whole thing and brought it back to the fore when they should be doing everything to bury it and keep it buried. I mean, seriously, asking him to throw out a WS first pitch?? Wrong way of handling it.

What's next? Will the Red Sox retire Bill Buckner's number?

The Cubs had 1908 rings for players, coaches, ownership, executives, front office associates, ballpark staff, partners and Hall of Fame alumni. Whether this is number 1909 or one that was unspoken for or given up, I don't know.

Can you imagine what kind of price this ring would fetch on ebay?

Nice gesture from the Cubs. Cubs fans gave a lot of hell to Bartman for a lost he was not responsible.
