Denzel DID NOT DESERVE the Oscar for Training Day. Justice is balance. You're crazy. Rusell Crowe deserved that one for A Beautiful Mind. Everyone knows they gave Denzel THAT Oscar for snubbing him on Malcolm X. This year tho? I'm glad for Casey Affleck, he has been in the business for over 20 years, he deserved it.

Is Faye Dunnaway blind or something¿ I'm sure that if it was Emma Stone's card her name would have been printed in big ass letters, bigger than LA LA LAND Yes it said EMMA STONE and La La Land under but she read what she saw... probably didnt pay attention... But it seems Beatty did... he made a stupid smug face before she read it. I guess we know someone's not getting invited for any award show soon.

Rusell Crowe deserved that one for A Beautiful Mind. No, Crowe wasn't that good in the role, IMHO.Everyone knows they gave Denzel THAT Oscar for snubbing him on Malcolm X. You're delusional. This year tho? I'm glad for Casey Affleck, he has been in the business for over 20 years, he deserved it. I always root for Denzel, but I like Affleck a lot. One day I'll watch all of these movies.

I hated The Equalizer (nut I hate most remakes), the man can be overrated and this year it was either Affleck or Gosling.

Who was the hack (bald/bearded guy) who came on with an Oscar in hand and said that Moonlight was the real winner? And why did he seem so sure? His reaction seemed so staged. His name is Jordan Horowitz, and as everyone mentioned, he was one of the producers of La La Land.

Washington was fantastic in The Equalizer, as well as every movie he's been in and he's never overrated, so there.

This is why we need the imdb boards, so we could all talk about what happened. What a colossal screw up! Is Faye Dunnaway blind or something¿ I'm sure that if it was Emma Stone's card her name would have been printed in big ass letters, bigger than LA LA LAND To be fair, they had no way of knowing off-hand that Emma Stone was not one of the producers of La La Land. If you were in their place, would you just assume that must be the case and roll with it, or stop the show and risk looking like an inept idiot if La La Land won anyway?

To be fair, they had no way of knowing off-hand that Emma Stone was not one of the producers of La La Land. As I just posted on another thread, that dog won't hunt - so to speak. Best Actor/Actress Oscar cards have name of said Actor first with name of film underneath; Best Picture cards have name of film in large letters, then in much smaller letters the producers. The point being that both Dunaway and Beatty have won Oscars and seen a hundred of these cards in their lifetime, they know perfectly well what a Best Oscar card looks like. They both screwed up. The Price Waterhouse people stand on the sidelines throughout the show for exactly this reason: Beatty should have turned away from the mike and called one of them over!

The cards have probably changed over the years, it likely said "Emma Stone- La La Land," and not the category. I probably would have done the same in their place. If anything, it's Faye's fault for not noticing there was a problem like Warren did, she just wanted to get it over with at that point lol. But what a colossal fuck-up. Too much over-preparing, two cards nonsense that created this problem. I feel the academy has been a joke ever since Cheryl Boone Isaacs took over- why they trot her up every year to give a long, rambling, stilted speech I have no idea, can't stand the woman's fakeness.

I'm not going to read through all 17 pages, and I wasn't able to stay awake for everything. What stood out was a bit of snobbery from Viola Davis and her acceptance speech that she could have avoided and some terribly misplaced political agenda before awarding Best Animated Film from someone I never even heard of. Sloppy. When I found out about the ending this morning, I knew it was really sloppy. Too much wine at this party???

I just realized life imitated art last night. The filmmakers for La La Land got to imagine a world where they won Best Picture...before settling back into the reality in which they didn't. How trippy is that?

People who are blaming Faye Dunnaway and Warren Beatty can't be serious.
They have absolutely no fault. In fact, if I was them they should never go back to the Oscars in protest.
The others screwed them up and now it's their fault?! LOL!
