I thought he was a funny comic actor. He had that controlled but frantic madman thing down really good. Kinda like Gene Wilder

I like Daniel Stern, specially in more "unpredictable" parts such as in Very Bad Things (1998) or Otis (2009), and he had a solid ride for a while with the success of the Home Alone franchise along with the City Slickers films. I am not sure if it was one of the reasons why he did not became a bigger name, but I did see the film Bushwacked (1995) on cinemas in spring 1997 and while I do not remember much from it, I later read that it was planned as a spin-off movie for the Home Alone character Marv, but things was changed and in the end Bushwacked became a big box office flop. Still I am thinking of trying to hunt down a cheap DVD copy, as I have not seen it for 20 years.

I don't know. I'm still hoping he, Joe Pesci and Macaulay Culkin reunite once more to make another Home Alone film. While they still can.
