DC's Viola Davis also just took home an award. What an amazing actress that DC added to their Oscar-winning stable. But... She took it for Fences, not for Suicide Squad. You make it sound like she won for Suicide Squad. DC fans taking credit for stuff done by actors in other movies? |

I was kinda hoping we could leave this marvel/DC petty bullcrap behind us on the old IMDb boards. I wonder should this be brought to the attention of the admins/moderators since this is essentially a troll post. This board is for discussion about the MCU.

As long as the DCEU keeps pumping out terrible flicks, their fan base is going to be insecure enough to keep making threads like this. Just another reason I want DC/WB to get their heads out of their ass and figure out what to do with their IP. |

But it's the fans on both sides arguing over who is better that just pisses me off. I'm not against off topic discussion on the boards. But if it's just going to boil down to insults from marvel fans on the DC board and DC fans on the marvel board swapping insults and measuring dicks, then I have no use for these boards. None of us would. I'd like to use these boards to discuss the movies. |

That's the internet for you. I'm a fan of both, and threads like this are tiresome from either side. As far as getting the mods involved, what are you going to do-- tell people they can't make negative comments about Marvel or DC movies on their respective boards? It's up to the users not to let the narrative degenerate into a pissing match.

I'm just wondering should it be brought to the mods attention since the op is basically trolling. I don't really have a problem with negative comments regarding movies I like, people can like whatever they like or dislike. But trolling people like this just seems pointless.

Marvel and DC both deserve Oscars.
It's a shame the MCU hasn't won one yet - the make-up in Thor was just as spectacular as that in Suicide Squad, if maybe not more so.
Marvel's day will come, if they put out another movie deserving an Oscar, which could very well be Infinity War or Black Panther.
And for DC, maybe Wonder Woman or Justice League.
