Has anyone seen those YT videos of people who claim they have had contact with extraterrestrials? They go on to describe them (there are a variety--and all butt ugly), and one even gave a very detailed account of what he was being taught in some sort of space 'classroom'. Evidently, they have letters that have 'vibrations' which make it so that a person can 'absorb' info, say, like a book, instantly instead of having to read it word by word.
Their stories are very detailed accounts.
What do you think of them? Do you think they believe what they're saying?
Some of the things they say are pretty disturbing.

I'm sure some of them believe what they are saying. I think they've probably taken real events that were fairly mundane, and talked them up into something much more interesting.
I read an article once wherein the author was saying that as a young man he and a friend would hang out in an area near their home village which was known for crop circles. They used to amuse themselves by lighting up chinese lanterns and letting them go. There was no ill intent, no desire to fool anybody, it was just a way of passing time in a dull place.
Later, they found that crop circle investigators had seen their lanterns and reported them as UFOs, which they presumed had caused the crop circles. Several descriptions said that the lights were "incredibly bright" - one compared it to "the flash of a nuclear explosion". Many claimed that the lights had shown agility no aircraft could match, moving at incredible speeds and accelerations, making right angle turns in defiance of aerodynamics.
But all these were was paper bags with a small candle in them.
Were the people lying? No, not really. They took a mundane but unexplained (to them) event and blew it up in their mind to be something it wasn't. They didn't mean to, it's just that humans aren't reliable at observing and reporting accurately. We're just not.
Most alien encounters probably fall into that category. Throw in some who are hoaxed, some who are out to hoax others... that probably covers it.
Honestly, if there ever were a real alien encounter I doubt it would be anything like what the UFO types report. It would be a LOT more unmissable... and I tend to think it would be a lot less comprehensible.
