I've avoided most of his more obvious garbage, but I sat through Little Fockers because I actually liked the first two. Big mistake. When he said the word "godfocker", I almost threw something.

haven't seen too many stinkers with him. Showtime wasn't very good.

I also try to avoid films that are quite obviously rubbish... but I have seen Frankenstein and Sleepers, both of which are pretty poor. Runners-up would include Little Fockers and We're No Angels.

His performance as the creature in Frankenstein is one of the worst if not the worst I have seen of the creature. Its too bad because I think he could have been very good if he channeled a little Max Cady. I think the makeup may have muted his performance. He need to take a page from Frank Langella in Masters of the Universe.
Just go with it man! Langella totally killed that part.
One of my favorite DeNiro acting bits was in Heat when he is going to the airport and is struggling whether to divert to go after that traitor--he drives, then smiles and shakes his head as if he is thinking: "jeez what a fool I am that I can't let this go."

Most of his late career stuff has been pretty bad.
I actually liked the first two Fockers films but those are the exceptions.

That came to mind on seeing the header. I saw about two minutes of DG and was dismayed. Apparently, sixteen-year-old boys are writing scripts now.

I was going to say Dirty Grandpa too, except I did like his scenes with Aubrey Plaza, so I cant say the movie was completely irredeemable. And somehow I did watch the whole thing (I often rent DVDs for free from the library LOL). But, yeah, it was pretty bad. Any movie where the main character is introduced to the audience by whacking off cant go anywhere but down.
However, that Moose and Squirrel movie was god awful too.

Sam's Song was pretty dire.
Um . . . not a big fan of Bloody Mama, either, although I think I liked it more than Sam's Song.
Let's see, oh, I pretty much hate Once Upon a Time in America.
Um, I agree with someone above that The Big Wedding was pretty bad, too. But I think I have to go with Once Upon a Time in America. That was one where I hated it to an extent that it was making me angry trying to watch it through to the end.
There are still some De Niro films I haven't seen, but I've seen most of the recent ones, most of the comedies, etc. and people ragging on those makes me about as annoyed as Once Upon a Time in America did.

Shark Tale (2003). If anyone forgot, it was that Draamworks animated family movie which inexplicably took inspiration from gangster movies like The Godfather or Goodfellas. You know, for kids. It actually wasn't even that which bothered me but the relentless pandering and trying to be hip and cool with the incessant snarkiness and pop culture references. I know it's in every other animated movie now but Shark Tale was one of the worst from the early 2000s with that.

I haven't seen every movie that he is in, but I've seen a lot. My pick would be "Hide and Seek." Hated it.

If I was to pick what I think is one of his worst performances Frankenstein would come to mind immediately but I don't think the movie itself is that bad.

It's not good but it's far from his worst imo.

I'm actually a pretty big fan of Bloody Mama believe it or not. It's campy fun and Shelly Winters is awesome in it.
