What do you think of it?
If we're going by just this trailer here, this doesn't feel anything like Charles Bronson's "Death Wish". I just can't hear AC/DC blaring when it comes to Paul Kersey killing muggers. I've said this before and it feels true here, this movie just feels like the Bruce Willis version of "Taken".

Just another example of NOT NEEDING REHASHES!!!

I'm not the biggest fan of the original, so I don't care too much that they are remaking it. The movie doesn't look like anything special.

Yep. I'm not interested at all. I love the Bronson films and have no interest in seeing this.
And Paul Kersey didn't have an AC/DC soundtrack but did have a Led Zeppelin one, or Jimmy Page at least.

Christoph Waltz would have been ideal.

It doesn't look too bad.
Bruce Willis does seem a little off for the part, though.

It doesn't look too bad. Bruce Willis does seem a little off for the part, though. The Paul Kersey character is supposed to be a mild-mannered, average joe-looking, non-violent man who turns vigilante. I don't know if Bruce Willis looks and seems like the guy who can pull off this character here. I think Willis has too much of a "I'm a bald 60-year old badass" look here.

Willis is lazy casting. Ironically, the trailer features Vincent D'Onofrio, who would've been a much more inspired choice for the lead. Otherwise the tone seems dead on. Sure, trailer editing and film styles have evolved over the years; but watch the original trailer and tell me this remake doesn't at least appear to hit the nail on the head:
Can't say I'm excited to see this movie, but it doesn't look like the worst thing in the world. At least they didn't call it Die Hard 10.

This is more like Death Wish 3 & 4 where you get absurd action. Death Wish 3 & 4 were the best of the entire franchise.

What mystifies me is that what is such a simple story has turned into a remake. Guy's family gets killed in cold blood, guy snaps and exacts revenge. "Death Sentence" with Kevin Bacon is an example of more or less the same plot...sort of a tribute, rather than a remake.
Why not just have a revenge flick starring Bruce Willis? I'd watch that.
All that said, this trailer doesn't look too bad.

Terrible trailer, that looks more like some random DTV action/comedy than a remake of a dark/gritty revenge thriller, but then again I did not expect much from it to begin with, especially not when learning that both Roth and Willis were attatched. I guess I will just have to wait for it to come out on DVD/Blu-ray, 6-7 months from now, then maybe I will give it a go.

I thought the trailer looked bad ass honestly. Eli Roth is a strange choice for director though.
