Italy against France? England against Germany?
Not much of a draw that.

Bye, bye Hoffenheim.
Freiburg have been kicked out too.
So much for the class of the Bundesliga.

Bye, bye Hoffenheim. Freiburg have been kicked out too. So much for the class of the Bundesliga. If you seriously thought Freiburg was going to advance, I can't help you. They are a permanent relegation candidate and the only reason they finished 7th was a complete collective fuck-up by Schalke, Gladbach, Wolfsburg and Leverkusen. As for Hoffe, we'll see. Klopp's Liverpool didn't overwhelm against Weinzierl's Augsburg. Depends on whether they end up selling Couthino, and on what the little magician at the sideline of Hoffe can do. You do realize they were the only team that beat you on aggregate last season?

Celtic travel to OneoftheStans, to play Astana whom they beat last year. We are a better team now, so am optimistic we'll get through. Need to score a few at home.

That moment when you know more on TSG Hoffenheim than even the regular Bundesliga posters...

The Book doesn't seem overly excited by Klopp's boys and offers 13/10 for the Reds' win. Hoffenheim rock up at 11/5 while the stalemate goes begging at 13/5.

For the game today, or the entire tie?
I'm of course supporting Hoffenheim, but the preseason games and the cup game I've seen suggested there's still a lot of work to be done for Nagelsmann. Even if I don't expect Liverpool to stand in the penalty area with 11 men, Erfurt style.

And to go through over the two ties, the Book goes Liverpool 4/11 Hoffenheim 2/1 (BET365)

So Liverpool favorites over the tie with the bookies, too.
*sigh* we really have two complete surprise bags in the CL this season.

Klopps record against German teams as Liverpool boss(includes friendlies, but not really that Mainz one ) Augsburg 0 - 0 Augsburg 1 - 0 Dortmund 1 - 1 Dortmund 4 - 3 Mainz 05 4 - 0 lol Hertha Berlin 0 - 3 Bayern Munich 0 - 3 4W, 2D, 1L, F12, A8 Pretty worried about this one. I just hope Hoffenheim haven't got a big striker up front and cross the ball a lot. If theyre a tippy tappy passing team we should be alright.
