OK, so round 2 came out like this (raw score x number of correct guesses = round 2 total):
JeffersonCody - 68 x 16 = 1088 Rufus-T - 61 x 17 = 1037 into-the-mystic - 55 x 16 = 880 PecksBadGirl - 50 x 14 = 700 llltdesq - 52 x 13 = 676 RobT-2 - 46 x 14 = 644 Iheartjane - 48 x 12 = 576 cherry-malotte - 43 x 13 = 559 sol- - 34 x 12 = 408 OrsonSwelles - 21 x 6 = 126
Though Rufus-T got the most categories right, JeffersonCody's averaged more valuable--in particular, he was the only one to get the sound mixing and live-action short categories right--and eked out a win for the round.
Recapping the totals for round 1:
JeffersonCody - 1559 Rufus-T - 1473 PecksBadGirl - 1278 flaiky - 1180 into-the-mystic - 1116 RobT-2 - 1080 ushizo - 1077 cherry-malotte - 998 Perception_de_Ambiguity - 912 creightonhale - 887 sol- - 857 Carmel98 - 840 llltdesq - 826
And now, the final totals for both rounds:
1. JeffersonCody (2647) 2. Rufus-T (2510) 3. into-the-mystic (1996) 4. PecksBadGirl (1978) 5. RobT-2 (1724) 6. cherry-malotte (1557) 7. llltdesq (1402) 8. sol- (1265) 9. flaiky (1180 - round 1 only) 10. ushizo (1077 - round 1 only) 11. Perception_de_Ambiguity (912 - round 1 only) 12. creightonhale (887 - round 1 only) 13. Carmel98 (840 - round 1 only) 14. Iheartjane (576 - round 2 only) 15. OrsonSwelles (126 - round 2 only)
I'll have the breakdown of payoffs after I've had a chance to sleep. Thanks again to all the players!

I should not have feared that Casey Affleck's past would come back to haunt him and changed his name to Denzel's on my ballot at the last moment. Nor should I have allowed my heart to rule my head and inserted the darkly funny and deeply moving A MAN CALLED OVE as Best Foreign Film instead of THE SALESMAN. Should have, could have, would have ... Hindsight is always 20 20 dude. See you at next year's polls Rufus. (smile) Still, as promised, I kicked your a$$ son.

OK, here are the belated category-by-category breakdowns (divided into several posts, with the winners in bold):
Best Picture:
La La Land (all players guessed this one)
Moonlight (no players/no points)
A big surprise here, in more ways than one, but the biggest surprise for the pool was that everyone predicted the same picture for this category and everyone was wrong (though we all thought we were right for about a minute or so!).
Best Director:
Damien Chazelle (La La Land) (RobT-2, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, sol-, into-the-mystic, Iheartjane - 3 points)
Kenneth Lonergan (Manchester by the Sea) (llltdesq)
Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) (OrsonSwelles)
Not so much of a surprise, though the people who correctly predicted Chazelle were perhaps right for the wrong reason - that the director and picture Oscars would go to the same film as they have done for most of Oscar history. Instead, the Academy chose to award a different director for the 4th out of the last 5 Oscar ceremonies.
Best Actor:
Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea) (llltdesq, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, OrsonSwelles, into-the-mystic, Iheartjane - 5 points)
Denzel Washington (Fences) (PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, sol-)
Ryan Gosling (La La Land) (RobT-2)
Though Affleck commanded a majority of players' predictions here, a substantial minority had their doubts, some of which may have been rooted in the publicizing of sexual harassment charges (settled out of court) dating from the making of I'm Still Here. On the other hand, the most plausible alternative candidate may have been weighed down by having won two previous Oscars, though some of his fans might have preferred Washington to win for Fences instead of Training Day. I picked Gosling on the theory that as the male lead in the presumptive "best picture" forerunner (ha ha) he had as much of a shot here as, say, Jean Dujardin.
Best Actress:
Emma Stone (La La Land) (RobT-2, llltdesq, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, sol-, into-the-mystic - 3 points)
Isabelle Huppert (Elle) (OrsonSwelles, Iheartjane)
Though the Academy broke young here (as they did with recent winners Natalie Portman, Jennifer Lawrence and Brie Larson), Huppert was certainly a credible alternative choice - I myself almost switched my prediction to Huppert at the last minute.
Best Supporting Actor:
Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) (RobT-2, llltdesq, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, OrsonSwelles, JeffersonCody, sol-, into-the-mystic, Iheartjane - 2 points)
Jeff Bridges (Hell or High Water) (PecksBadGirl)
The Academy and (most of) the players went with the overwhelming favorite from the precursor awards here.
Best Supporting Actress:
Viola Davis (Fences) (RobT-2, llltdesq, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, sol-, into-the-mystic - 3 points)
Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures) (OrsonSwelles)
Naomie Harris (Moonlight) (Iheartjane)
As most predicted, the Academy responded to one of the most egregious ongoing cases of "give-her-an-Oscar-already!" (Now if only Huppert can secure a second nomination....)

Best Original Screenplay:
Manchester by the Sea (RobT-2, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, into-the-mystic - 5 points)
La La Land (llltdesq, OrsonSwelles, sol-)
The Lobster (Iheartjane)
Though a substantial minority went with the "best picture" favorite here, the majority went with the third of what critics seemed to agree were the three "most important" movies of the year (the other two being La La Land and Moonlight).
Best Adapted Screenplay:
Moonlight (all players - 1 point)
This would probably have been a less predictable category if the Academy hadn't moved critics' darling (and eventual "best picture" winner) Moonlight over from originals.
Best Cinematography:
La La Land (RobT-2, llltdesq, Rufus-T, PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, sol-, into-the-mystic, Iheartjane - 3 points)
Arrival (cherry-malotte)
Moonlight (OrsonSwelles)
The majority here went with what turned out to be a minor technical sweep for La La Land.
Best Production Design:
La La Land (RobT-2, llltdesq, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, OrsonSwelles, sol-, into-the-mystic, Iheartjane - 2 points)
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (JeffersonCody)
Same as above, only more so.
Best Costumes:
La La Land (RobT-2, Rufus-T, sol-, into-the-mystic)
Jackie (cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, OrsonSwelles, JeffersonCody)
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (llltdesq, Iheartjane - 9 points)
And here we have a surprise winner! To be fair, the majority of players predicted (correctly) that La La Land's presumed sweep might not extend into this category, which rarely rewards contemporary films (even with such artfully dressed performers as this one). While the elegant period costuming of Jackie was certainly a credible alternative choice, Fantastic Beasts may have enjoyed an advantage from being both a fantasy movie and a period movie.
Best Film Editing:
La La Land (all players)
Hacksaw Ridge (no players - no points)
We all wrongly thought this was a gimme category, and the Academy's choice indicated that those of us who predicted a La La Land sweep should have been more cautious.

Best Sound Mixing:
La La Land (RobT-2, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, sol-, into-the-mystic)
Arrival (llltdesq, OrsonSwelles, Iheartjane)
Hacksaw Ridge (JeffersonCody - 10 points)
Another surprise non-win for La La Land, and one of three categories correctly predicted by only one player (and one of two such where the player in question was JeffersonCody, helping to propel him to a narrow win for the round).
Best Sound Editing:
Hacksaw Ridge (RobT-2, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, OrsonSwelles, JeffersonCody, into-the-mystic)
Arrival (llltdesq, Iheartjane - 9 points)
La La Land (sol-)
This one was surprising for a different reason, as most players thought that if Hacksaw Ridge were to get an Oscar it would be in this category. Personally, I'm glad Arrival got an Oscar, though I'd have preferred it for film editing or maybe even screenplay.
Best Visual Effects:
The Jungle Book (llltdesq, Rufus-T, PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, into-the-mystic - 6 points)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (cherry-malotte, OrsonSwelles, sol-)
Doctor Strange (RobT-2)
Deepwater Horizon (Iheartjane)
Though there were some holdouts (fairly enough - this was a pretty impressive category overall), half the players went with the Avatar-like immersive environments of the eventual winner The Jungle Book.
Best Makeup & Hairstyling:
Star Trek Beyond (RobT-2, llltdesq, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, sol-, into-the-mystic)
A Man Called Ove (Iheartjane)
Suicide Squad (OrsonSwelles - 10 points)
I have the sneaking feeling that most players told themselves "this category is impossible to predict," then they went ahead and put down Star Trek Beyond. Congratulations to OrsonSwelles, the only player who dared envision a future in which "Oscar-winning film Suicide Squad" was an actual thing.
Best Original Score:
La La Land (all players - 1 point)
Despite the variety of good music represented here, there was no way this score wasn't going to take the prize; the instrumental passages from La La Land distinguished themselves at least as much as the songs did.
Best Original Song:
"City of Stars" (La La Land) (RobT-2, llltdesq, Rufus-T, JeffersonCody, sol-, into-the-mystic, Iheartjane - 4 points)
"How Far I'll Go" (Moana) (cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl)
"Audition (The Fools Who Dream") (La La Land) (OrsonSwelles)
A relatively easy pick, though Auli'i Cravalho's live performance of "How Far I'll Go" reminded all of how good a song it was. (I still think Moana's "You're Welcome" and maybe even "Shiny" would have been more formidable competition, had Disney submitted them for the music branch's consideration.)

Best Animated Short:
Piper (llltdesq, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, sol-, into-the-mystic - 4 points)
Pear Cider & Cigarettes (RobT-2, OrsonSwelles, Iheartjane)
In a banner year for animated shorts, for some predictors there seemed no reason for Pixar to pull out its first win in this category in more than a decade-and-a-half. For those players, the personally-observed tragic character study Pear Cider & Cigarettes seemed a better bet (with Ryan and The Moon and the Son providing effective precedents, though still from more than a decade ago). Instead, the Academy rewarded Pixar's admittedly amazing film, with its design and character animation that effectively blended stunning photorealism and comic cuteness.
Best Live-Action Short:
Timecode (RobT-2, llltdesq, OrsonSwelles, Iheartjane)
Ennemis Interieurs (cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, sol-, into-the-mystic)
Silent Nights (Rufus-T)
Sing (JeffersonCody - 10 points)
Congratulations again to JeffersonCody for his second unique correct prediction!
Best Documentary Short:
The White Helmets (RobT-2, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, sol-, into-the-mystic, Iheartjane - 3 points)
Joe's Violin (llltdesq)
Watani (OrsonSwelles)
Surprisingly, predictions in this category weren't so much all-over-the-place as usual, with 8 players correctly predicting the winner.
Best Documentary Feature:
O.J.: Made in America (RobT-2, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, into-the-mystic - 5 points)
13th (sol-, Iheartjane)
Life, Animated (llltdesq)
I Am Not Your Negro (OrsonSwelles)
A terrific year for documentaries, with a lot of good stuff being left out and an unusually "political" line-up of nominees, with one spot for the sort of heartwarming personal story (Life, Animated) that might have won in a different year. Instead, the majority of predictors and Academy voter's overlooked the 7-hour-47-minute winner's alternate life as a TV mini-series and went with the only one of the three nominations on an African-American subject that wasn't an indictment of white America on the face of it. (To be fair, the O.J. film featured highly on many critics' "best-of-the-year" lists; it came in 5th in both the IndieWire and Village Voice polls - mind you, that's in the "best film" category, not "best documentary".)
Best Foreign Film:
The Salesman (RobT-2, Rufus-T, cherry-malotte, PecksBadGirl, Iheartjane - 6 points)
Toni Erdmann (llltdesq, OrsonSwelles, sol-, into-the-mystic)
A Man Called Ove (JeffersonCody)
Though four players held out for early favorite Toni Erdmann, half the players went with the eventual winner-thanks-possibly-to-a-boost-by-Donald-Trump. However, as someone who hasn't yet seen The Salesman but admires Farhadi's previous film A Separation (also a winner in this category), I should point out that The Salesman may well deserve the award on merit and despite the political shenanigans behind the scenes.
Best Animated Feature:
Zootopia (RobT-2, Rufus-T, PecksBadGirl, JeffersonCody, sol-, into-the-mystic - 5 points)
Kubo and the Two Strings (llltdesq, cherry-malotte, OrsonSwelles, Iheartjane)
Though a substantial minority of players held out for the arguably more artful Kubo and the Two Strings - generally agreed to be Laika's best film to date - the majority went with the Academy's socially significant choice, Zootopia.
