i didn't like the direction the latest episode went with, especially the the kid Adrian, i liked his character up until this episode, but while i did suspect him of raping Alex, i didn't really buy it, especially with the previous episode and how he was around the other kid (i forget his name) so to go from that, where he is basically trying to get together with him (maybe even becoming boyfriends) to now being some kind of mentally disturbed child who is a bit of a psychopath and episode later is a little bizarre and the voice/tone the actor uses is a little over the top
So yeah, i am still enjoying the show, but i really don't like that particular twist in the story, but the rest of it is not too bad, so i will stick with it

LMAO!!!! What a load of crap! While the show is no masterpiece and could use some improvement, it is quite far from dreadful garbage or crap. Quite far. No one can conclude anything after only one episode
Is this your way of admitting you've got brain damage? All my sympathies.

There are things that were put into these characters from the very first episode, that as viewers we need some kind of background. That's where a 2nd season comes into play. Eve has something going on in her past, besides be the "town whore" as she put it. Nathalie, Connor, & Alex have been in the mist but are all being spared, why? Their backgrounds(well except Alex) are so spotless they haven't done anything wrong? And there's Adrian, we know he's not the first to be shunned by a parent because he's gay. So what else went on, growing up that he needs Alex to stay by his side so bad, he would rape her. I know people hate it cuz it's not like the book/movie, but again it's a series so they're going to expand on it. Like I said before, one needs to go into these shows like they are a stand alone, not an adaption or remake or retelling.

I am not against the change in Adrian, just the way it was done and how quickly, he goes from basically confessing his love to another boy and how all he wants is to hold a boys hand in public and not care what anyone else thinks, to what is basically an hour or so later in the timeline, to being Alex's rapist/stalker who is obsessed with her and turning into a psycho, the change is too quick for me personally and i would have liked them to spend at least a couple of episodes building it up, it just felt rushed I do enjoy the show though and i am looking forward to seeing where it goes, it has my interest

I remember watching the first episode of The Strain but I can't remember a single thing from it. I remember the first episode well because I had read the first book in the trilogy and was looking forward to seeing the adaptation. I was a little disappointed, but hoped it would get better. Of course, it didn't.

On the one hand it's a series so they can take time with character development, but then they go and do something like this. It's a contradiction that just doesn't make sense. Honestly I don't like any of the characters in the show and couldn't care less who dies. The film kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next, the series has me tuning out even while i'm watching it.

Adrian is gay, that doesn't change. He raped her to keep her "separated" from anyone who could take her away from being his friend. From the first episode, we never see anything until basically Adrian says she was raped. Then when he's in the church he's talking to the priest about having done something really bad. Then in the hospital when him & the other guy are in the beds, he's very cold & nonchalant. That's why I said, it's one thing when you have a parent ostracizing you. But Adrian doesn't seem to have any other friends-except his "boyfriends". I would say he had psychopathic tendencies-but he has feelings(friend) for Alex. So that's why I think something happened to him in his past as well. And Jay never gave off anything that said he did it. Now that of course all depends on the acting:). And I would never be swayed by that in real life.

Is anyone here watching either of these two shows? I am, and I'm disappointed with both. The Strain just doesn't live up to the potential it had, and the boy is even more nerve-grating than Carl was in the first couple of seasons of TWD. Every time he's on screen I keep hoping (in vain), that someone would wipe the damn smirk from his face. The Mist should never have been made. I was excited about it at first, since I loved the film, but it should be re-named 'soap opera in The Mist', it's so darn boring. Anyone have any thoughts about either? Okay, I just watched the latest episode of The Mist and it hasn't improved. There are still no tentacles to be seen, hardly any horror at all regarding the Mist itself. I was hoping the girl would be killed but of course they let Jay die instead . Stupid. Now I heard they are going to do a season 2. What the heck?

And you obviously did not watch the final episode of the season since there tentacles indeed, although tentacles are not even half as important as some silly people think. And there's plenty of horror regarding the Mist itself. You want to know what's truly stupid? You, for believing they would have killed off Alex, who is one of the 4 lead characters. And yes, they are doing season 2 but no one is forcing you to watch so stop whining.
