According to the OP's link, the three primary reasons WW deserves Oscar gold is ...
1. It didn't suck as much as BvS or Suicide Squad. 2. It was directed by a woman. 3. The "iconic" scene where WW strips down to a mini skirt and high heals to cross no-mans land ... without getting a scratch or a spec of dirt on her.
The delusions of these DC fanboys is hilarious.

As the old saying goes: pity you get for free (a la SMHC), envy you must earn. The article (other than your huffy little rant) is well written and argued, the only thing that realistically may prevent WW from getting Oscar nods, is the fierce competition this year, even from within the B-movie segment (so far). Logan, War and others are worthy competitors, not to speak about the more serious films this year. And we are not even through yet.
So, there is still hope for you, my huffy little sunshine. Otherwise, you may well cry me river, but in the end it will be just another fanboy tear in the rain.

You neglected to mention where my huffy little rant got it wrong. Your "well argued" article is strangely devoid of a single substantive reason to consider WW for a Best Picture Oscar ... as is your post. Most likely ... because there isn't one.
Do you feel stupid ... yet?

First of all that is an opinion piece (like the other articles). The truth of the matter is that the film was screened before members of the academy and a number of them said that Wonder Woman was worth consideration from the academy. That is why the WB is campaigning to get the film a nomination. I am pretty sure that folks like Sonny Bunch with the Washington Post, or Ian Cordona with CBR have little influence on what the Academy decides.
