Sure, The Revenant was the one that earned his long-awaited Oscar, but was it his best performance of all? What say you?
For me, The Revenant was indeed his best so far. Great actor in general though. My top 3 of his performances:
1. The Revenant 2. Django Unchained 3. The Departed
HM: What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

He's had a lot of great ones, but got to give it to The Aviator.

Considering he was 19 when he made "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and I have a handicapped brother, he was on point.
The noises he made, the way he retracted his hand into his chest when he was nervous, the way he flicked his nose it was insanely real.

Not quite the same thing, but I think Revolutionary Road was the most serious (only serious?) film he has appeared in. All the rest are "entertainments", some of them excellent.

The Wolf of Wallstreet.
I also loved him in R&J, but I don't think it was his best performance, or even a particularly good one.

The Aviator - top notch, should've won the Oscar over Foxx. Blood Diamond - lighter weight fare regardless, Leo commanded this film & was entertaining to boot. Titanic - beyond James Cameron's tour de force techniques, Leo let us enjoy the long run time & root for ppl.
